Tbf Nick W has barely scored a Bundesliga goal prior to last season. Most of us early years of him in June or so. He’s not a Cherki, Isak, Xavi Simons or Wirtz style wonderkid.

Should’ve free hit this week. Was very tempted but decided too late to think it through. Anything would’ve been better mind. -
I agree. With the Saudi clubs, we don’t even need to go full multi club and do PSR deals if PIF really wanted too (they don’t).
-
Aye ruining some proper clubs across the world and propping up some two bit clubs too. It should be outlawed imo. If not - we should get involved.
-
Is Ramsdale going to take his singlet? A year on the bench for Trafford, is he definitely coming in and taking Pope’s singlet? Whatever year Pope leaves, someone has to come and take his spot in that space. It won’t be given imo. Unless we have assurances to the new player.
-
We are going to keep our oldies until their legs fall off imo. As in... their legs will fall off and then we will let them go e.g. Wilson. If they can perform well, they will keep geting +1 deals. Pope will take +1 deals if he's starting imo. Best chance he'll get to play in Europe and win trophies. Should have been making good money these last 3 years or so.

Would still like the ability to do that 10 yards up.

Would be shocked at anything other than those 5 starting at the back. Maybe Botman starts too. But Howe is starting Tino, Tripps, Burn and Schar 100%. -
From the clips it looked like he avoided physical contact. At that size you shouldn’t avoid physical contact and use yours as a weapon. Didn’t avoid it from what you saw on the weekend though and he won a lot of his physical duels. Crouch was skinny his entire career but would use his physicality to hold off defenders with his arms. You want to be able to put the ball onto Nicks chest/feet and it stick with a defender up his bum.

Anybody else in that lineup play 3200+ of top flight football with PL, CL and a serious chance of playing at the World Cup? The only one close I can think of is Elliot Anderson. And even then I think Anderson needed the Euros a lot more than Tino who is further along in his development. Tino was already capped, been in multiple senior squads, played in the CL already, 2.5 seasons of regular PL football. IMO Tino would’ve been better off being involved in the senior squad and having a proper holiday. I don’t think any player set to play 4500 minutes (fingers crossed) should play fluffy internationals. Tino, Bruno and Sandro we need to manage minutes carefully but they have the least cover. Tino is first choice fullback at both position and we’ve only really got 3 fullbacks. The other 2 are our best players and we’ve basically got nobody to come in for either of them. I can only see either of them getting rests if we are comfortably winning/losing or the league cup. Otherwise it’s 90 minutes 2-3 times a week until injury.
-
I don’t think we pressure international coaches like some of the other bigger clubs. I still standby Tino shouldn’t have gone to the Euros. He’s the only one in that lineup that’s set to start for a CL club this season. And the only one to also be a mainstay of a top 6 club within that season.
-
Sometimes I think ppl forget who are manager is. Im 90% confidnt the same back 5 start. Botman is the only one they might start from those named. Tripps should be a 60 minute man rather than a 90 minute man though.

Let’s keep this discussion about Nick pls
-
It’s here somewhere. He falls to the ground under no tackle or force while running full pelt. If it’s a knee injury that doesn’t seem great.
-
At least he got his money move in the end.
-
Need to get him a new contract pronto
-
He does make good runs
-
Didn’t have the quality when it mattered but put in a shift. Got in some dangerous positions
-
He’s such a non factor off the ball imo. And the gap in involvement and general presence is gigantic. Not a dig at Miley. It’s the gap between a starting Brazilian national team player in the prime of his career and club captain vs a talented but obviously inexperienced 19 year old. That gap is unacceptable for a team in the CL that hopes to requalify.
-
Osula tax But aye Nick was tops.
-
Not going to happen at 1-0.
-
And it goes back to my gripe about Miley. He’s not trusted for serious minutes. It’s Tonali and Bruno that will suffer. Bruno in particular who has played so much football these last 2 years.
-
We’ve got nobody to replace him. Played 90 minutes in Bolivia at altitude. 90 minutes today which was always going to be the case if the game was close. He’s the player I’m concerned about most in terms of minutes. The quality of his game will suffer if he has to do 90 minutes PL CL PL CL etc.

Only saw parts of the match but he looked very good from what I saw. Excellent link up play. Ball stuck to him. Would like to see more balls into feet but I liked some the runs he was making too.
