  1. Also very rugged. Will pick up suspensions but he’s always fit. So he can be used as a Swiss Army knife. Utility player has an almost negative connotation but I think he’ll end up being a top 5 PL utility player. His versatility and fitness and work rate will mean he’ll be here for a good while. Such a great option.
  2. First touch with the right controls it, second touch left to keep it in stride, 3rd touch cleanly struck goal. Top class touch and technique. A lot of players are super one footed even with controlling the ball
  3. Class under Rafa in a back 5. I don’t think many people were convinced he could be this good in a back 4. He’s also criminally under rated on the ball in the media. Under rated in general. Botman been great but Schar has been better. Schar is far more exposed due to how high Trippier plays while Burn is much closer to Botman.
  4. Agreed. He's going under-rated in the media still.
  5. I’ve not liked him at LW recently but he bosses it. Great movement. Had the beating for Porro all game although he was horrible.
  6. Really tidy on the ball today.
  7. We might be able to wallop Chelsea imo. The crowd won’t be up for it. Last day for the manager. The players will have had their minds on the holidays for weeks. There’s no incentive for them to be up for it. IMO if Arsenal are realistically out the title race by our game I fear for that one. An Arsenal team coming up here motivated but without pressure with Arteta’s style being our weakness - it’s a challenge.
  8. ???? He played the same system he always plays. Its teams that overload central areas, box midfields and can escape the press I haven’t seen an answer too. I don’t think Everton will try the above either and we’ll be able to play our game.
  9. 4-6 points for the rest of the week - I think kills the spirit of the chasing pack.
  10. I think I’ll stop talking about Gordon because I think I’m a hater.
  11. The look on his face suggested he wasn’t injured to any meaningful extent. It was like a ‘ah yeah I think I’ll come off now’.
  12. I’m annoyed we’ve come out like this and conceded already. Need to get back to getting clean sheets.
  13. Pep was dominant at Bayern in the league for 3 years. I love Carlo but he didn't even last 18 months in Munich - the league level wasn't there. The best race car drivers - eventually drive for the best teams so it's a mute point. Every manager has their little kinks. Klopp needs a youngish and hard working team - Carlo doesn't. Carlo doesn't win back to back league titles - Pep has done that maybe 4x in his career. Pep - can overly focus on opposition - Klopp does Klopp.
  14. At least Pep is by far the greatest league manager. The points total year in year out.
  15. Pep is easily the best manager in the world.
  16. Remember hearing Arsenal fans saying Arteta doesn’t like ASR much because he can’t get press well. Doesn’t have the stamina.
  17. He seems so far down the pecking order though. That Vieira signing looks odd atm. So so light weight and weak.
  18. No. Barcelona is a political beast. IIRC the people he works with at City got sacked from there. And there’s tons of pressure all the time. Bad seasons are genuine crisis. And the funds aren’t unlimited. The President is influential. Barcelona is an institution first and foremost. City all his people run that club. The pressure is much less from the club and in the media. Similar situation at Bayern, it’s an institution with its own world and politics that Pep has to deal with. Pep runs City via proxy. The culture is as he defines it. The owners are silent from a football perspective. I don’t know of any non Pep people at the club.
  19. Pep won’t leave City until he’s done with club football. Everything is setup perfectly for him at City. He could be there for another 7 years.
  20. City winning 5 out of 6 is boring as owt. I would feel something if Arsenal won the league. Probably just their fans annoying me but it’s something. When City win I feel nothing. Which was cool at the start but it’s now to the detriment of the league.
