Salina and Tomiyasu are massive misses for them. I don’t think either will play again this season. That’s partially why I think it’s so important we reinforce defensively when we’re in the CL.

They are nervous. Being out of the title race and a morale boosting win against Chelsea might bring them back to their normal level. Or they could just collapse.

Partially agree. We just need to keep doing what we’re doing until it’s official. Keep that momentum.

I’m not worried just an acknowledging the risk. Liverpool are legit a medium risk and could go near perfect. European and cup football was killing their squad. But I’ve maintained since the Brentford game that we will comfortably get enough points to secure top 4 regardless of the form of others. We face 4 genuinely bad teams, unless Frank is sacked Chelsea are another bad team. And then Arsenal and Brighton at home. We could get 16 points and finish 3rd.

Fortunately Southampton need to win. Arsenal need to win. Brighton don’t do that. Perhaps Leicester might try but they can’t defend and haven’t kept a clean sheet all calendar year.

It’s still Liverpool they have so much quality. They can win all of their remaining games. Defensively they do look like conceding so can drop points but I’m only expecting them to drop 2 points. I do expect us to win 4 games though. So we should be good. 4 points from the next 2 at a minimum.

I think a country can have a 6th team via Europa League success. So if Villa win the EL next season and finish 7th. They will be in the CL.

Boehly needs to change his ways if Chelsea are to become successful again.

We still have weaknesses that need addressing. (1) A lack of creativity and ability in attack. (2) A lack of ball progression in midfield without Bruno. A left back that isn't so prone to pace defensively (3). Thoe can look to be starters by October. I would personally like another 2-3 young players with high ceilings and the right attitude. But also willing to be squad options. We don't have any quality in-depth so they can come in any position.

Sounds like Eddie wants 2 or 3 top class players in.

No insights. Doesn't know anything about being elite at anything. Another Liverpool guy. Zero banter. Why is he commentating on the FA Cup semi final? No chemistry with other pundits. Ugly. Not "slick" at presenting.
