Vieira is not levels.

Epitome of press resistant. Need that.

Allergic to using his right foot by the looks of it.
-
Man City linked with Kovacic. We should be all over that if that doesn’t go ahead.

And in the FA Cup final. If they are in the Cup final and out of the top 4 race by the time we face them - they'll be thinking about the final heavily. I don't think they'll finish lower than 7th anyway. Villa's fixtures are too hard. -
It's the hard running back and forth.
-
Zinchenko was awful defensively at Liverpool and perhaps prior. But he's better than Tierney easily imo.
-
Casemiro & Partey were noticeably athletic in Spain/Europe. Partey's press resistance was noticeable as was Casemiro's authority. I never paid attention to Rodri tbf. Tierney isn't highly rated by Arsenal fans. I don't want him either.

If we don't get 5 points from Everton, Leeds & Chelsea we don't deserve CL football. Agreed that football is different with pressure. Applies to Everton & Leeds too. -

Burnley badly needed a win and we smoked them. -

None of these are good teams though. Leeds might get better but they are not any good. Everton might get better but they are not any good either. Chelsea are in literal disarray. -

Can't wait for the Spurs game. I don't even want to watch it. I just want us to win. -

We've had 13 from the last 8. We should replicate that as a base. -

11 points from 8 is poor from us. Just need to beat Spurs man. That will be so so sweet. -
I grew up with Chelsea being pretty decent under Bates and the fella that died in the helicopter incident. Awful fan base.

I've fallen in love with the idea of signing Kovačić. Fee (expires 2024), wages, age - just perfect. Selected players with contracts also expiring in 2024: Maddison Bastoni Leao Pau Torres Neves Olmo Cherki RLC Y. Fofana Nico Williams Leao aside, all of these could be nabbed for good value. Think Real got Camavinga at such a steal because he was also in his last year.
-
Chelsea are fucked because of the wages they dish out. They rarely sell first team players for good money for that reason. Although i'd take Kovačić for £30m-£40m. Apparently on £150k. Decent age. Proven in the PL.
-
Would love him. It's just the wages and the impact of that on squad harmony. And the fact he's been injury prone for 18 months now. Realistically he'll get himself a 3-year deal at PSG, Serie A or Atleti close to the wages he's on now.
-
Mount will go for c. £25m-40m imo. The issue for us would be the wages. Our ceiling will increase but not to anything above £200k imo. Certainly not what Rice or Mount are after unless it can be smartly structured e.g. massive bonuses based on team performance
-
Think he would do good.
-
They won't. They really needed a new man in now to start the player cull.
-
Emery has been to the top having managed PSG & Arsenal. Unless he gets Villa in the CL or something I doubt a major club would come in for him. Who is taking over at Atleti?
-
Draws aren’t good enough. Eddie knows that which is why he went for it vs Man U. Aye at half time against Villa we would’ve taken a draw but we never got close really. Id be distraught to finish 6th now. It means we collapsed.
-
He's a good finisher. But he's not going to get on the ball and create or score a goal out the blue with a clever pass, drop of the shoulder etc. He doesn't have that "cuteness" or technical superiority to his game. Trippier & Schar are capable of very cute moments to open up play. But the rest are highly reliant on our hard running style to open teams.
-
A draw would bring the chasing pack closer. And we would be losing momentum and confidence after going 2 without a win. A draw to Spurs and a loss to Everton would have Liverpool something like 6 points behind. If we beat Spurs, it's more than 3 points. It kills their season imo. Player Heads will drop. Fans with be toxic. If we score an early goal we could get 3-4, they are on the brink of a genuine crisis and collapse. Fully agree. It will feel like a KO blow to Spurs and damage the hopes of the rest. Beat Spurs and pickup 4 points from the other 2 fixtures - the chasing pack will be disheartened and the team full of confidence. When we finished in the CL places under Bobby - iirc it wasn't tight. It doesn't need to be here either.
