Sometimes Leicester play 3 at the back and Barnes is sacrificed. But he starts more often than not. Had a few injuries last season.
-
Nobody wants him though. He might have to run the contract down. Leicester don't want that either. Arsenal would've been a decent move but they wanted positional flexibility.
-
I'm not a huge fan of Tielemans but for £25m - I would take him.

We should definitely be signing that type of player. one that's probably 2-3 years away from going to a "giant" club. Hugo E was that profile in many ways too. We don't need high G/A as long as we can see ability and real talent. We need to look like a side on the rise. For all this talk - we have only signed 2 players for the long-term in this project. And a 3rd who is already at the peak of his powers. The rest are all stop gaps to some degree imo.

Sesko looks destined for the very top of this game. But for context he scored something like 6 league goals last season. For us... that's fine. We can grow with him.
-
FPL wise Sam Martin is Tier 1 source.
-
The top 6 has been the top 6 something like 6 out of the last 7 years. Elite level football is so boring and predictable. Most of the same clubs even get promoted and relegated time and again. I'm happy to see Spurs go on a title tilt. I'm happy to see West Ham and Villa try and crack that top 6. I'm happy to see Forest really try and stay in the PL.

Rather £50m for Maddisson. Doesn't help with pace in the side but what a player.
-
PL fans.... have this weird relationship, almost crabs in a barrell like mentality. That we hope clubs that give it a go fail. If not us, I would love for Villa or Leicester or whoever to make that level up permanently. To show others that it can be done. Some other fans are doing it with us. If it's for moral reasons I don't mind. But purely footballing reasons, isn't 7 teams that can really compete better than 6?
-
I hope Forest stay up. Comfortably.
-
Anything less than 2 out of a RW, ST & CM would be a failure imo.

This wasn’t a joke was it? :LAFF
-
Aye. Attackers are riskier and more expensive.

I think we had a lot of intangibles go our way in the second half of the season. Momentum, crowd, care free once safe etc. Can't guarantee that continues here. The defence looks solid but slow. Midfield lacks ability but plenty of graft, up front lopsided and little depth. Can Jonjo Shelvey keep up that intensity for a full season? Bruno scored more goals in less than half a season, than he managed in 3 years at Lyon. Is going to continue being a 1 in 4 goalscoring midfielder? If we go as-is, I expect a bottom-half finish.
-
Maybe it was over ambitious but I had hopes we could start to close the distance on the likes of Arsenal. But now i'm more concerned about Aston Villa and not backsliding in the league.
-
Nah Morata’s a very tidy all-round footballer.
-
I fear the fans lose a bit of momentum.
-
We've not got the defenders, midfielders or attackers to play significantly further up anyway.
-
German Craig Bellamy. I'd love him here if the deal would make sense.
-
I'd cover wages if we didn't pay a fee. Or pay a large fee and not cover wages. No club on this planet, would do both.
-
Aye and it's really paid off. A Chelsea Academy XI would challenge for Europe. Can't think of any GK's though James Christensen Tomori Livramento Gallagher Rice Loftus-Cheek Mount Abraham Hudson-Odoi Plus Ake, Broja, Guehi, Chalobah's, Lamptey etc.
-
True. They also have one of the best academy's in the world which helps.
