I'd be dissappointed if we went the full season with the midfield we have, the RW's we have and the same forward line. I'd be happy with a genuine attempt at a good side. For me that's CM, RW, ST. If we finish 10th with what look like solid signings there, we see where we can improve and go again. If we don't strengthen those positions and finish 10th - it would feel like a missed opportunity. We saw our weaknesses and decided not to improve on them. My perspective is we panic in August and get good deals over the line.

Club are focussing on good value and not getting rinsed. All that's happening is we aren't signing our top targets. I hope that JH bid of 17m is false. Anything under £25m and we are wasting time. I don't expect Leeds to sell for anything less than £30m, if I was them I would want closer to £40m. Us doing this dance is a stupid one. I've said it before - if we want to seriously climb the table we'll need to spend proper money on players that might look expensive in the moment.

Harrison could easily be better than some of the much hyped foreign based players.

As in…. The champions league?

Doesn’t that create a path way for Hugo?

More possession orientated this season?

Just want more goals and attacking fret. -
No club in the PL would sign him. Ryan Fraser has at least shown good PL form at some point in his career. Gouffran was better than Miggy.
-
I've never seen a player produce so little for so long, yet have so many people defending him. Anyway, RW is the weakest position in the squad. I don't think any club would pay a fee for Almiron. Might get a fee for Fraser or Murphy.
-
I've never seen Diaby play. I'm simply stating if the scouts think he is the best player in that position that we could get - then we should go for him. Not a personal slight on Bailey. There are loads of flops in his bracket of player every season. especially to PL clubs outside of Europe.
-
Facts. No creativity, doesn't drive the team forward whilst carrying the ball, can't cross, shoot. He's not very good. He makes Moussa Sissoko look like Thierry Henry.
-
8 goals in 3.5 years. Powder puff finisher. Miguel Almiron is not a PL level winger/forward/attacking midfielder imo. He's not good at anything attacking.
-
Miggy won't score 16 PL goals in his career.
-
People really rate Fraser & Miggy for no reason. 24 G/A for Harrison over the last 2 years. Almiron has 12 in 3.5 years. Harrison did that in his first 8 months in the PL.
-
Harrison is surely worth £40m to Leeds United. Even £30m seems a no-brainer for us.
-
According to Fbref he uses his left foot 72% of the time. Same as Diaby. Notable 2 footed legend Cazorla is at 68% right footed.
-
Absolutely no chance surely?

I've more faith in paying more now for quality, than making incremental improvements that don't move us up the league. I'm not a scout but I rather we go for our primary targets that can really take us up the league (Diaby, Paqueta, Isak etc. whoever we think that is). Than going for 4th and 5th choices that end up like Leon Bailey or Nicolas Pepe. I wouldn't go for Pogba due to his injuries. But Zaha could be a great transitionary player for us. If we sign a winger at his level - we'll be close to European football ifn ot there.
-
Zaha and Pogba are levels above what we have. If we signed both - we would be serious contenders for top 6.
-
Pogba wouldn't come. Zaha would be a great signing to get us into the top 6/8. Better shout than a lot of the wide players we are linked with. I think Cesc would be great to have around the dressing room. Wouldn't expect him to play much. But we've got loads of filler CM's already.
-
Yeh I get that. But of the 6 takeover signings we've made. Only 2 look like long-term bets and 3 have decent resale value. If that's important to leadership, signing a 4th short-term - low resale value player doesn't seem the move. I'm not sure that it is important. Those lads are on short-term contracts anyway (signed 2.5 year deals I think). Just kicking the tyres on the theory.
-
Trippier, Wood and Burn already don't have much resale value.
-
Djed Spence to Spurd

Would take Cesc for a season.

Paid a lot of attention to Dennis last season. his general play is awful. Misplaces simple passes time and time again. He’s fast and can finish. That’s about it. Cornets a better player imo.

Big man, what is your point?
