Aye Keegan for his era was a talented manager
-
Not mad at it. Would’ve preferred 1 year extension.

But vs the euro competition it is just money. No club either team has faced has a buget half as big as Arsenal's. The biggest testament to recruitment, strategy etc. is doing enough to finish above Arsenal. West Ham have signed 9 players for 20m+ compared to Lyon's 3. They should beat Lyon.

Nigerian. There are dozen+ languages in Nigeria with a million or more speakers. Nigerian Pidgin (unfortunately as it originates from an oppressor) is a uniting language for people from different ethnicities within the country.

what's funny?

I understand he's disliked by some football club managers, owners, CEO's and Managing Director's but not sure why. Fergie dislikes him because he apparently convinced Pogba to leave the Manchester United bench to get paid more money for the biggest team in Italy and become a first-team regular in a top class side and a worldwide superstar. What a jerk.

Who is everyone in football? And what's his crime/sin?
-
Universally hated by who and for what? RIP to that man.

I think they’re better then any English team I’ve ever seen. Comparative to the competition. I loved the Invincibles but I never thought they were the best team in Europe. Treble Man Utd: Juventus and Real Madrid were legitimately the best teams in Europe over that 2-4 year period. Obviously City are right beside them but there’s an Oil Money tax on their greatness.

Klopp might go down as the greatest.
-
It was the 3rd tier European trophy. European Cup Cup Winners Cup Fairs Cup
-
The Fairs Cup was basically the Conference League you know.
-
I think we'll get as many Bruno/TP level players as we can get. We'll not get to a number and be like "aye that's enough". If we can sign 8 in that mould, we'll sign all 8. I take the Lodi links as proof. Targett is more than fine and would be a good signing but we're looking to see if we can get a CL type signing. I think even if we sign 8 in that mould. The goal would be the same, top 6ish.

Nah it's good fun. Gives more teams a chance to win something.

On this... if Real were in the PL. I don't think they sell all of Reguillon, Odegaard & Hakimi etc. Exactly. It's pure financial might. West Ham likely have the biggest net spend and wage bill of the 4 remaining UEL teams. The most impressive thing they've done is finish 6th in the PL. Obviously European experience does count and they've done well. BUt it's not a triumph of excellent coaching and player development the way Villareal or Ajax have done in previous years. West Ham likely have a bigger wage bill than Villareal.
-
Perez started the ESL because he saw the PL was becoming the ESL and he wanted a piece of it. Of all th EPL sides did decent business, all 4 CL sides would be better than Real Madrid
-
Madrid wanted a shoot out. Kroos, Modric, Valverde is not a serious midfield 3. They wanted a bonanza and got one. villareal are playing extremely hard working football. Tremendously well organised. Wish they were more direct on the counter.
-
They did.

Should aim to get £15m for Lascelles but we might keep him. We'll need a 4th choice CB and he could be class in the dressing room
-
Signing a £50m fullback suggests a push for European football next season and a CL push the following season.
-
Everton also have had inferior managers, different managers with different approaches. But I agree quality is #1. No point signing players for 6-8 from now. It's about signing players for the CL. That's Bruno, that's Trippier. That's Lodi. But I don't think we'll cap the number. We can improve in every area and will try to sign players for the right deals. The 50m Lodi figure for a non-urgent position indicates that. If the right striker becomes available at 70m we will go for it. The only position i think we'll be forced to just try and get a body in is ST and maybe RW.
-
50m euros on a left back. Wow.
-
The fact Spurs fans would rip our hands off for £30m for PEH says it all. His only defenders just say they need the options, he's fit and steady.
-
This is a silly way to look at things. Do you think we would get to the UEL semi-final too?
-
Who is that?
