  1. I should’ve bookmarked it. It was absolute bollocks. And he cursed Ritchie by saying he was more effective than Zaha.
  2. 1 point behind us. A Benteke shocker away from being above us. I remember Mole saying they would go down and that individual ability didn’t matter much. They’ve got some real quality. With Roy they were always going to be at least competitive
  3. Saw the last 20 minutes. Tremendous fun that.
  4. The tackle on Vardy for the goal man.... That penalty has dented his confidence. That was clumsy. Now he’s shit scared when making a challeng inthe box.
  5. Brilliant ties. Hope Real sort themselves out by February. And that Bale is fit and roaring. Would like to see him run at PSG.
  6. He doesn’t rate Mbemba or Mitro. They need to be sold.
  7. I would also agree that the CL is wide open this year. Can see City shipping 3 or 4 against a top team.
  8. He doesn’t rate them. They need shifting and reinvested. Mbemba has been at fault for conceding In nearly every game he played. Goes down under minor pressure and I’m sure another time as well.
  9. Burnley is a football team 3/4 years in the making. We can't compare ourselves. Every single last player at the club is a Dyche player and they understand and are capable of doing exactly what they want. The goalies, Mbemba, Shelvey, the strikers - Rafa doesn't rate them much as PL players. They might be good players or not but Rafa doesn't fancy them. This isn't a team Rafa would like.
  10. It's a championship squad up and down. Need a GK, AM & CF. Could also do with a winger, cm, cb, lb..... rb.
  11. Think they're too shakey defensively to win the CL. An elite CL team should be able to pick them off on the counter. Can see them breaking 95+ points and maybe going undefeated in the PL.
  12. Yeah selling our only creative outlet would be madness Also not playing him is Aye if he's not going to play. Move him on.
  13. The team just isn’t good enough. We lack quality. A lot of our better players have huge hols in their games. Seemingly the best pure defenders at our club are injured. Our best passer has no engine. Our best finisher has poor build up play. All of our wingers lack quality.
  14. He’s not even a great footballer. He’s great at passing. Toni Kroos is a great footballer, average athlete. If we could get good money for Shelvey I would sell him if we can reinvest it.
  15. Feel like Benteke missed another one earlier in the season which would've got them a point or something. What has happened to him.
  16. Benteke's missed penalties man... ffs. Probably a good thing.
  17. West Ham did what we couldn't. Prevent crosses coming in. Deal with aerial balls properly.
  18. Messi's fairly machine-like himself imo. Like a video game character level of greatness. It doesn't even make sense the balance, the acceleration, like he has the ball on a yo-yo (if that makes sense). It's awe-inspiring stuff... in the sense it's unbelievable. He executes greatness. However, I find the Zidane's, Ronaldinho more entertaining in some ways. They displayed more flair and spontaneous skill, swagger. A bunch of stepovers and tricks. Outrageous flicked passes. Messi has a "simpler" and more efficient way of beating the opposition. Like the goal he scored against Real in the CL, no fancy tricks just gets the ball skips past what felt like 4 or 5 of them and slotted it home. No problem.
  19. Ronaldo’s greatness is more linked to being the difference than Messi’s. As there are a few players maybe as equally talented or good. So when he wins the Ballon D’Or it’s testament to him being the difference. Messi on the other hand is just the best. I think most of the years neither wins a major trophy he gets the Ballon D’or Because hes the best. Messi’s been a part of a few sides that are head and shoulders above the competition. With Pep they would’ve no doubt had some type of Golden Era without Messi imo. Madrid Golden Era is slightly more Ronaldo specific. Some of that is by design. Messi can play in a way that allows Suárez to grab a lot of the big goals. Real play for Ronaldo more and are not as cohesive as the better Barca sides.
  20. I said at least 2 CL’s that he’s won, they could’ve won without him. They actually did win 1 without him lol. I recall watching a documentary on him and he felt he hadn’t earned or contributed as much to that victory and he was gutted to not play in the final. Which is why I said 2. Didn’t Xavi and Iniesta not come off the bench? In any case the core of the 2009 side also won the World Cup and Euros. My only point is that’s an all time great team before you add the best player ever to it in his prime.
  21. Taking nothing away from Messi. His excellence is unrivalled. Every week you can see it. But Cronaldo is the difference. The reason his teams have gone to the semis of the CL something like 7 years straight is him. If Bayern have him last season they win the CL. He deserves all his ballon d’ors because he goes out and does the business. Has done for a decade. Applaud him.
  22. It was Fonte coming into the side then. Carvalho legs had long gone.
