You referring to me? I haven't said he was offside against Norwich, I've just said he's had offside goals incorrectly allowed previously.

Hate Duff. Typified the overpaid, under-performing mercenaries of that era. He was essentially the Robert replacement right? Crap. Thought it was a good signing at the time mind. Chelsea sold us a total dud. Same with Man Utd. and Smith., -
Colo got mugged in the air for the goal too. Based on performances this season it's a no-brainer. Reputation and status will keep Colo in the side.

15 from what is a midfield position is overly ambitious IMO. 10-12 would be excellent. Anything less than 8 would be disappointing. Playing one game a week I think he'll be able to keep this up for awhile. -

You can tell he's a natural striker. He gets into some great positions in the box. It's because of this he could've easily added another couple easy goals to his tally. -
But they haven't played that team consistently. It was the first time i'd seen Lamela start in the league for example. Soldado - Paulinho and maybe someone else i've forgotten have started every game i've seen from them out of their front 6. Outwide we've seen Chadli, Lennon, Lamela, Townsend. In the middle Sigurdsson (sometimes plays wide too), Eriksen, Holtby, Sandro, Dembele, the French lad and i'm probably missing a couple players. There's no consistency, he doesn't know his best team and it's not surprising. Their attacking play is a little like ours last season - look like strangers. From a team lacking an effective attacking identity they could probably use someone like Adebayor up top for a bit. Sometimes you can just float the ball in to him and play off him. The way we did with Shola in the first half against Norwich, it really makes things easier when you have a player like that. Soldado seems to be a particular type of forward and they don't play to his strengths at all.

Think he's a bit closer to Bellamy tbh. Goals wise he has the potential to get you Bellamy's 10 or so and this is coming from playing outwide. He's nowhere near the danger Bellamy was with the ball at his feet though. -
The players they've signed are all pretty young, plus it's basically a whole new team. How they look after a year together will be the real test of how good they're going to be. Agreed.
-
Apart from maybe his spell towards the end of last season he's never looked a £10 striker. All the other time it's been £30m world beater or £400k waster.

Ujpest Doza confirmed it was offside.
-
Look man, it was offside. For someone that plays on the shoulder like that he'll have some wrongfully ruled off and others wrongfully ruled on.
-
Watched a fair bit of them. Looked very strong, powerful and organised. Going forward? Speculative. Don't look like the attacking players know how to play together. The only one who seems to have settled into a role is Paulinho and his finishing is suspect.
-
Clubs let other clubs know when players are available. Everyone knew RVV, Ozil, Benzema etc. where available from R. Madrid from example.
-
He's also had offside goals incorrectly allowed. I can think of 1 last season, and 1 the season before. Bordeux and Bolton. S'hampton wonder goal was offside.

Colo's overall form has been poor for over a year now.

There's numerous times last season we looked down imo and we ended up 12th.

English, overachieved (and tbf did a good job) at smaller clubs with no expectations so can play the didn't get a chance with big clubs cos of forrins cards, "hounded out of SJP", Fergies mate, Jay Jay Okocha did tricks, talks a good game and likes a pint, etc. etc. The thing with Bolton, is that he signed seasoned (okay pretty old) internationals on decent wage packets. He could've spent more on fees if he wanted too but he brought in lads on some decent wedge for a few years instead. IMO he's a disease though. After he leaves a club, the club will likely get relegated.
-
Agreed. Now... the game has developed a bit and i'm not so sure a side of his wouldn't get relegated. I thought the same thing about MO'N but S'land would've gotten relegated last season with him at the helm.

Football's greatest - where does Lionel Messi rank?
The College Dropout replied to Dave's topic in Football
Too mistake prone to be considered one of the absolute best, on his day he is possibly better than Thiago Silva (who is the only central defender on the shortlist). I see Luiz as a brilliant footballer, but he's way too mental to ever be a top, top defender. I hope for the sake of the national team that he doesn't have one of those days in the World Cup. I do think he plays better for Brazil than Chelsea though, TSilva is such a calming influence. IMO Luiz is a big game player. -

In the squad or world? He's definitely their best player, ask the germans who is the best player in their league, I don't see why they'd say a foreign player if they didn't think it was him. As for being the most talented in the world he's clearly not, Messi and Ronaldo, I'd say Suarez as well are infront of him. The thing is that the prize depends all on the criteria, if it's based on who has been the best player for the team that has won the most it's clearly Ribery, but I would have Ronaldo and Messi above him just because they're better footballers and it's an individual award after all. Listen man. I don't have to ask other people to validate my opinion of a player who I have seen for 10 years. Fair enough, in the end it's all subjective, I'm not necessarily saying your wrong, I just find the fact that you find five players in the Bayern squad more talented than Ribery a bit new and unheard of. But everyone is entitled to their opinion Talent wise: Neuer, Lahm, Martinez, Robben, Mueller off the top of my head. Fair enough, don't you find Neuer a bit to mistake prone though? Seen him make quite a few mistakes, don't end up costing him much because he plays in such a superior team. As for Lahm I completely agree, one of the worlds most consistent players. Why does Martinez make that list and not Schweinsteiger? (serious question) I like Martinez, very underrated, but if I had to pick one player in Bayern except Ribery to build a team around it be Lahm or Schweinsteiger. Schweinsteiger also got Bundeliga player of the year last year if I'm not completely wrong and seeing him live is different to TV, he moves around the pitch with such fludity you actually don't realize how much space he covers. I agree about Neuer, he's a tad over-rated but very talented. IMO he's yet to hit his peak. I'd also say Schweinsteiger is more talented than Ribery. I just thought of Martinez first because aside from Robben i've seen him the most in that side. I also didn't want to list another midfielder. -
Was that confirmed by anyone at all?
-
Why did he sign that contract? Especially a 4 year one. Less than a year into it he starts piping up.
