  1. I hope he's right this time as i was told that they had all been sent out at the end of August and is hould receive it by 5th September. I'm still waiting.
  2. Thats what i've been told every week for the past 6 weeks.
  3. The downside of the club statement saying that the investment bank are handling the sale is for me that there will be no manager appointed in the near or medium future. Prepare yoursleves for Chris Hughton being in charge for a quite some time.
  4. How much were you owed? I had thought they were either doing them alphabetically or doing the cheapest ones first? Did you have to hassle them for it like i have?
  5. I had to speak to someone in the box office on Friday and mentioned this. She told me that they are waiting for "clearance from the accounts department" (make of that what you want!!) First time i went in after being fobbed off the phone the lad turned his computer screen around and showed me the Cheque Requisition on screen which had been raised on 21st August. I said to him why can't you cancel that and just put the money back on my debit card seeing as i am here? Said he couldn't do that as it would involve raising another requisition which would involve getting a directors signature to authorise it in the same way a cheque requisition would. Its a joke, but having worked for a company that was a supplier to NUFC back in the days of Cameron Hall's ownership i'm not surprised at all. They were terrible payers and we used to have to offset the Invoices they owed us against what they had billed us for the company's advertising boards and executive box in order to clear their debt to us. Far quicker and easier than waiting for them to pay.
  6. I am owed £136.00 and am pig sick of phoning the box office and going in to the box office. Its like banging your head against a brick wall though as the box office say they have done their bit and the cheques are with the finance director awaiting signature. I was told on friday to get back in touch if i hadn't received by the end of September having originally been told in June that the cheque would come with my season ticket in July. NUFC.CO.UK says refunds will be sent in August as well!! Girl in the box office just fobbed me off really, saying they had been completely overwhelmed and didn't have enough staff to cope. Another lad in the box office moaned to me about how the new owners were at fault and didn't seem that happy working for them (this was the week before KK went as well!). It's not right as they've had my money long enough since now. I do know of some people who got cheque refunds for smaller amounts like £25 with their ST's though and the girl last week said there were only about 400 out 12500 who were due money back who were still waiting. Some comfor that though!
  7. How many years are you talking about? fair few of our UEFA Cup games in the last 5 years had sub 35K attendances and some had sub 30K attendances as well. Herenveen at home instantly springs to mind as being approx 27K on a stinking wet, cold horrible night.
  8. My glass is always half full. You have got to look for positives in everything.
  9. Dreamland is it fuck. The first goal was a fluke and the 2nd came against the run of play was as soft as owt. if the penalty we conceded at Arsenal was a penalty then we should have had 2 penalties on saturday. we did not play that badly.
  10. Apart from the 2nd goal and the flukey first i thought we played some good attacking football and on another day could have at least got a point or sneaked a win. I honestly didn't think we played particularly badly from an attacking point of view, but let in 3 soft goals.
  11. Winning games leads to confidence. We need to play our strongest available team and get after them to win the game and build our confidence up.
  12. You won't get a ticket, they load it onto your season ticket card. I always found that the money for Cup tie tickets was never debited until very close to the game when i was in the DD scheme (still am really but get free home cup tie tickets this year as part of the deal for buying this years ticket last year).
  13. I saw him in Fenwicks the other week, monday or tuesday after the Arsenal game with a Spanish studenty looking lass. EDIT And he certainly isn't fat, like most footballers when you actually meet them they are unbelievably thin and nothing like the perception you get from seeing them on the pitch with other players.
  14. Would Hoddle take orders from Wise though? Would O'Leary or Curbishley or anyone else for that matter other than Poyet?
  15. I'd prefer O'Leary to Curbishley but will be shot to shit for saying my own choice of current unemployed manager is Glenn Hoddle. Of the employed managers i'd like Strachan.
  16. 5 minutes away is close enough tbh Anything south of Watford is my indicator That's a pretty s*** indicator. London and the home counties are classed as cockneys in my book. But would you disagree with most southerners who think the North begins at watford as well? Obviously. I just think it's quite funny that you define cockney so broadly when I'd imagine you'd be seething if someone said they thought everyone north of Middlebrough was a geordie. But thats what people in the south think though isn't it? (Obviously neglecting the fact that Middlesbrough is in fact Yorkshire) Middlesbrough isn't in Yorkshire. The most northern part of Yorkshire is Stokesley, a town roughly 15 minutes south of the most southern suburbs of Middlesbrough. Just to let yer kna.... Stockton is/was County Durham Middlesbrough is/was the North Riding of North Yorkshire.
  17. Beye is back according to the same link you sent. Why go with Lough when you got Edgar and Tozer? According to dotcom Beye is out for 10 weeks. Edgar went off injured on saturday and i was under the impression Tozer was crocked as well.

  21. It's reality though, if our first 11 is injured our back up is non existant.
  22. It's amazing how many people putting teams up in this thread have no idea about the fitness or otherwise of players in our squad. Jonas has a fractured collar bone and will be out for a month, Smith is out indefinately with a leg injury, Martins may be back on saturday but is doubtful, Duff is at least another week away etc etc. We are so threadbare that the team unfortunately picks itself. http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php Given Taylor Colo Cacapa Bassong Geremi Butt Speedy N'Zogbia Cisco Owen Bench : Martins, Harper, Ranger, Doninger, Donaldson, Lough, Ameobi
