Newcastle United vs Arsenal - 21/03/15 3PM Lick Off.

Might be the first time in Premier League history a team has lined up without a single player in their best position. Except Krul of course, I assume he knows to play Krul in goal. Why not play Elliott in goal and Krul centre half with Woodman on the bench. -

On the grounds that it was a yellow at the worst, never a red card ever. You make it sound like it was barely a yellow. It was a coward's tackle, two-footed that took all of the man and none of the ball. Kind of tackle that had Ben Arfa out for over a year. When was Ben Arfa tackled like that cos De Jong didn't tackle him like that.

He was terrible today like, our worst player by some distance. -
Everton reaction was Chelseaesque in the extreme. Was a foul and probably a yellow but never a red.

I thought it was harsh as well, Gibson and someone else haranguing the ref immediately didn't help.

Martinez needs to bite the bullet and realise that like how Allardyce needs an attacking coach to help him, he needs a defensive one. Moyes had drilled them into one of the best defensive units in the league, but now he's gone, and in their first year, they were still good defensively. Due to this mixture, they were pretty much near the top And now... they aren't Honestly, I rate Koeman much higher than Martinez, and Moyes as well Christ, do people every learn. This is a message to everybody on this forum. STOP f***ing JUDGING MANAGERS ON ONE SEASON. I wouldn't be surprised if Koeman had a bad season next season either. It happens every season. Some team has a good season. All of a sudden their manager is a brilliant manager. The next season they struggle and people then think he's a s*** manager. I've been consistent in my views on Martinez that I wasn't going to call him a brilliant manager based on last season given his past achievements and I think I've been proven right so far This isn't Koeman's first good season, he was brilliant with Feyenoord too Feyenoord play in a pub league. PSV and Ajax...... Also play in a pub league.

Was a Villa fan on Total Sport last night and he predicted 4-0 against us the other week and 3-0 for today.

I thought it was Leicester? Sure Lee Clark Scored and we won? That's his brother in front of him to his left. Looks like Jack Wilshire. Now you mention it aye, I suppose he does a bit on there.

Blond Lad called Phil from Newbiggin by the Sea bottom right of that picture with a baseball cap on. Not seen him for years. He travelled in the boot of my mates car to Feyenoord for a pre season friendly in 2000.

Top quality? Come on. There's not a lot to choose between him, Haidara and Dummett. Santon was given a lot of chances, but didn't make the sort of improvements that you'd want to see in a young player. Heard you saw worse in the 80s; can you confirm? Paul Stimson springs to mind. Others of my vintage will confirm. Seriously though, isn't this a case of Mbiwa-itis? Anyone who the club doesn't want must be good. Stimmo was a legend, even as a kid I was pretty confident I could do a better job than him at full back. Darren Bradshaw was worse.

Apprently we are still about 10% of room availblilty away from the prime % of availability. I.E. Enough rooms needed for the city but enough free rooms to make room prices competitive. The shortage is in higher class hotel rooms. They need them in order to bid for things like the UEFA Cup final as well. New Hampton Inn looks a bit disjointed but I think The Crown Plaza will be pretty swish. New Motel in The Bigg Market looks classy!!!! And New Premier Inn next to the Gate will become as shite as the one next to my office very very quickly. That one's not been the same since Holiday Inn flogged it and the derelict snooker hall makes it look 50 times worse.

Well, that happens because "Newcastle" is singular. Though I use both. It's Plural. You're talking about a TEAM therefore it is plural.
-
What get's on my wick is the American way of referring to Teams in the singular rather than plural. EG Newcastle IS winning 1-0 instead of the correct Newcastle ARE winning 1-0 really annoying.

I like Saturday Night Football. I get much less grief off the missus as I can do family stuff during the day until circa 4PM if it's a home game and up to 5.15PM if it's an away game. Good atmosphere as well as a helluva lot of people go out on the drink at the same time as they do for a 3PM game so are well served by KO. Away games I can have a drink and a takeaway and not worry about getting up for work the next day. Much better than Monday Night Games which are generally shit.

I've got form for mistaken identity but pretty sure Lee Charnley was in Benfield Motors on Railway Street when I was inching past in traffic this morning.

I forgot about the Orlando game as I was watching the golf from Doral. I watched the 1st half of the Kansas City game in glorious HD on Sky and no one seemed to be able to retain possession, lot of huff and puff.

Dropped for who? He's better than all our wingers. Rather see him on the pitch than the likes of Gouffran. Cabella aarons perez gouffran are all better. Maybe even obertan On what basis is Obertan maybe better than Sammy? Runs geet fast and that. What does sammy do? Put in one decent cross in 10 and that He put in a very good shift defensively on Wednesday.

hasn't he got until 6PM to respond though?

Mmm. Raylor had Di Maria in his back pocket though, was one of our better performers on the night.
