Mine too, on the ball anyway. If we are to have any chance they need to play the ball on the floor. With that trio in central midfield, we will be utterly incapable of playing the ball on the floor. The major point. We were FUCKING SHIT even before Sam took over. A summer of losing all the deadwood then attempting to sign replacements, despite our poor league position was always going to be hard. We are 11th FFS, its hardly end of the world stuff. Sam will come good with time.

I skimmed it and I agree with most of what I read. It seems the players take no blame "because Sam signed them". Sam can only motivate so much, in reality its down to the players in the factors you mentioned. I seriously doubt he wants them to fkin hoof it, take no shots, not close down etc.. It seems a lot of the players are for the INDIVIDUAL and not for the TEAM. The MINIMAL EFFORT put in by the players is evident in some poor results.

If you have to actually sit through the matches and see us waste that potential week after week it's more difficult to be positive than if you just look at the league table and think "Hmm, 10th. That's not bad. And we played well against xxxx on Sky the other week." But we were never going to be a rampaging beautiful football machine. Which brings us back to the original point. We are a mid table side - inconsistancy is part of the role.

Are we an attractive prospect? No. Just look in the three siginings thread. Think realistically who would come? Aimed at no one in particular players like VDV and Diego will never come to a mid table premiership side. The need now is to work with what we have, provide some stability, attempt to bring in some payers who can do a job, raise our reputation and push us towards europe in a season or two. I seriuosly doubt cutting off Sam is the right move, look at the clubs doing well, Blackburn, Villa, Everton - all stuck with their managers, even in the harder times and now reaping the rewards. Agree mate, the Smith thing has swung it though, he put him up front and even though he's not much of a goal threat he's much more effective there than in midfield. So ok, he's recognised a problem and done something about it, good. Maybe he'll now recognise a few more things that every other c*** can see and begin to learn that his football isn't working.
