Players available to loan do not go to clubs to sit on the bench just in case we get an injury like this, totally unrealistic. He wouldn't have been on the bench.... it would have been Colo-Bassong with Willo on the bench.

Liam Ridgewell was. Mariappa was. Even getting Bassong back on loan would've been a brilliant deal. Good call, I thought we might have done that. I guess maybe the fact that he shafted us somewhat when we went down worked against him.

100% true. He is way too small to be a CB, would be killed in the air just like he was earlier in the season. Williamson IS the only option right now.

Reason is the PL isn't have as good as the propaganda would have you believe. Other than the current top 4/5, the league is dire IMO. The bottom 5 teams are total gash, no better than Championship sides. Just goes to show the gap is widening between the haves and have nots.

So true. When he was coming back from injury, we were desperate to see him in the team. Shows how thin the squad is considering we were even worse in defence before he came back. Didnt we have a Simpson/Perch center back pairing for 1 game? Criminal that we did not but a CH during the window. Not surprising tho, given the dynamic duo's penchant for taking a gamble.
