  1. He's never been regarded as that kind of player IMO - a trickster - he's more in the bracket of "supremely effective" - like Robben. Not the best on the eye, but very destructive in your side. Wish he played for Belgium the same way he plays for Chelsea. With the national team he tends to stop the flow of the play constantly. De Bruyne runs the show there. Hazard has everything to be a top 3 player in the world, but sometimes it doesn't look like he's giving his all out there.
  2. Colin Murray's show insisting that they arent football fans at all its people attaching themselves to Chelsea to cause trouble. Its that attitude that has Eurotrash in places like Serbia, why cant the media accept that our precious game isnt as saintly as they proclaim? Jesus a look at mackems recent past tells you its there. I agree with you, but in a sense he's right. People who fight over football aren't fans. Football fans are those who watch games, cheer/boo their team, but don't use violence. People going to games to cause trouble aren't football fans, they're just going to games because it's an environment where violence is vaguely accepted. Pushing the guy off is absolutely shameful. Fair play for him being ''stupid'' enough to confront them again though Could've easily gotten his head smashed.
  3. If anyone wants to see probably the worst player ratings given by a journalist in recent times, please proceed to see Psg v Chelsea player ratings on guardian. Was the person even watching the game?
  4. Bouncing balls are difficult. Ibra did everything right, he was just unlucky to not get enough pace on it. The bounce is exactly why it was saved, it bounced to a comfortable height. If he heads it low but without the bounce it's a lot more to difficult to save IMO. I understand where you're coming from, but I being completely honest here. The best thing a striker can do with a header is to bounce it off the grass, it's much less predictable. He was unlucky to have such a good keeper in front of him and maybe the bounce was a bit too early so the ball lost pace. But heading it low could've easily rendered in the same thing here with him saving with his feet which he did on an earlier shot from Zlatan. Courtois was just great last night and I don't think you can blame Zlatan for it there.
  5. Nah, it's my theory Willians talents is being wasted to cover Ivanovic, but that is down to tactics. I've seen Dani Alves play right wing with Messi and Neymar and no one covering for him. All down to the manager
  6. I hate him as much as anyone, but I think that's being a bit harsh on him No one could have expected that that was coming. Definitely looking for a bite from me. Luiz was very good today, still think they'll improve with moving Motta in and him out. I just hope they don't put Marquinhos on the bench again. He's an absolute beast considering his age. So composed.

  8. He's definitely not crap. He's not the best defender, but for a right-back he defends well considering the amount of s*** fullbacks in the world at the moment. I'm sorry but if you are a RB and almost never in position when the opposition attacks then that's crap defending. I don't care about the other FBs, that's irrelevant tbh. I have another opinion on how a fullback should play I like Ivanovic, strong in the air, doesn't let many get past him one on one and good going forward. Sure positioning he's not great, also why he's not a good CB in my opinion. But think calling his defending crap harsh.

  10. Yeah, that was one of his problems in La Liga. He was vulnerable to being closed down since he doesn't have the dribbling ability of Xavi or Iniesta to get out of a tight space, for example. David Luiz didn't give him a second to turn and Matuidi and Veratti were absolutely amazing in closing down both him and Hazard as well. Perfect game from that midfield. Pretty much a perfect midfield performance from him imo, the tackle aside. That little dribble to get the freekick in the first half was amazing.
  11. Veratti was absolutely amazing (despite that challenge). Good result for Chelsea, but PSG were very good today in the second half and were unlucky not to win. Their midfield bossed it completely, not a chance created by Eden or Cesc and Diego Costa was nullified by the CBs. Zlatan lost one header all game I think and Courtois is amazing.
  12. He did. This has been a far more exciting game for me than it should, because footballing wise it's been the typical Mourinho. Boring, lucky on one side and scores ont he other with his teams only chance. Paris been a bit better but Lavezzi and Willian fighting for the title of worst winger of the round. Has any of them done anything right so far? Paris midfield has really bossed it in terms of keeping Matic, Hazard and Fabregas quiet. Disagree with most of that. Hardly been exciting at all, but aye, it has definitely been a typical Mourinho performance so far. Which also influences a lot of your third paragraph, Hazard and Fabregas has been quiet, but more so because Chelsea have clearly been told to not take any risks at all. Matic has been as good as he usually is IMO, keeping possession and staying in the right place when they lose the ball. Like I said, footballing wise it's been bad. But I'VE found it more exciting despite that, probably because it's a CL game and I haven't enjoyed football properly since the World Cup. If you follow closely you'll see both Hazard and Fabregas don't get a second on the ball. They're being closed down quickly leaving Willian open a lot which he can barely do anything with. Ivanovic is at times when they have possession playing more as a right winger and Fabregas moving down the pitch to collect the ball. Both Matuidi and Veratti have done very well to make sure he can't turn. Matic has been decent, but don't think Chelsea midfield has done anything impressive.
  13. Tbf to Cavani though he's doing as good as he can tonight, not his fault Courtois had a nice save (probably wasn't going in actually) and that Matuidi can't play a through ball. Lavezzi has lost every possession he's had basically.

  15. Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry ©, Azpilicueta; Ramires, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Hazard; Diego Costa. PSG: Sirigu; van der Wiel, Silva, Marquinhos, Maxwell; David Luiz, Verratti, Matuidi; Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic, Cavani. About time Marquinhos starts centrally. Mourinho with his typical defensive line-up in the CL as well.
  16. Was just thinking this. They are so boring, by far the dullest "top team" () in the league IMO. All other good teams in the league at least has some players that I enjoy watching, Man U haven't even really got that. Di Maria?
  17. Every single time but rightly so ffs.
  18. For that reason, they were my favourite club to use back in the halycon days of landing in US for the first time and playing FIFA 06 every second of the day. Loved Fifa 06. Mainly because Ronaldo was the best player on it with a 95 rating or somat daft despite being clearly past his best. Was it 06 where free-kick were dead easy?
  19. Bradford or Reading making the semi's. Going by Leicesters draw we could've had been playing West Brom at home and possibly Bradford or Reading in a semi-final

I hate it, but somehow enjoy it. His conduct in the CL final was probably the worst I've ever seen from a professional manager, absolutely f***ing diabolical. Aye he snapped, but game was 4-1 when Varane decided to play a pass into Simeone when he had the whole field to play the ball out of play. He aimed at Simeone and the guy snapped. He should probably learn to control himself but I thought it was poor form from Varane tbh Seen Scolari hit a guy on the pitch and Pardew headbutt someone, that's worse IMO. He was acting the c*** before Varane iirc. Don't remember the exact timeline but from the moment Real equalised or took the lead he totally lost it. Varane was just the final explosion. Like Ronaldo I recognise he's great, but he's a woeful person. Fair enough Still think his explosion was ok considering what was happening I mean he was a second or so away from taking them to a CL win. Would've been one of the biggest achievements in football history.

  23. I suppose the next challenge now; how you go about the real big boys who can defend and attack in equal measures; you did fair well against Athletico recently I don't think there's a team in the world that could defend against Barcelona at the moment. It's all going to come downt to how to limit the amount of counter attacks Real Madrid has and how do you keep the ball away from Bayern in the CL.

Aye fair enough. Probably true. I just felt he wasn't giving a shit on the pitch, now he's actually at times coming back to defend and win the ball deep which is great. Neymar on the other hand has stopped that for most parts.
