Would he get to play as much and be the top dog like he is for big parts at Chelsea? I mean Robben, Ribery and Muller are all better players IMO. I just don't think Hazard is THAT good, because I've seen him disappear more times than the others do. He's an excellent player and might one day be a top 3 player, but for me he's not a top 10 at the moment.

Corinthians apparently impressed and won 2-0. Their 1-0 goal is sublime. Look it up, absolutely amazing goal. The 2-0 should never have stood.

Ah knew that was coming. I meant non-from-that-region

Who watches middle eastern football?

Meyer looks like a decent player. Isco reminded me a lot of Veratti from yesterday in terms of in possession. Controlled the tempo.

Nah, the few coming out of the Brazilian league at the moment I don't know. Do follow the ones who are relatively successful in Europe though. I remember Nene complaining how Zlatan took him off his throne as he was a fan favourite at Paris and Zlatan basically forced him to the bench and then away from the club.
-
They started out decently tbf, didn't let Real Madrid do much, but as the game progressed they just got worse and worse.
-
Lucas Silva starting for Real Madrid. Really hope he succeeds. We're in big lack of a midfielder for the NT. Don't think he is good enough yet, but clearly has talent and I see him as a better prospect than Illarramendi.

This guy used to run the show for PSG, think he was the top scorer one season in the Ligue 1 or at least close to as he seemed to score every other week. Very technical player, no idea how he'll do in the PL though and with age I don't see him being a success. Was part of the Santos with Elano, Robinho, Diego and couple other players that was unbelievable back in early-mid 2000s.

Was a horrible season for Brazilian football. As for group 2 it looks absolutely shit that two of those teams will go out. Haven't seen Danubio but my bet is on one of the Brazilians + San Lorenzo. Which would be shameful considering Corinthians and Sao Paulo financially are much more powerful than either of those (no idea about Danubio but don't expect them to be too rich).

Fucking Disco man. You going to follow the Libertadores this year? Thinking of following it the whole way instead of just caring towards the quarter-finals or so when the shit teams are out.
-
So group stages in Libertadores started yesterday and Anderson lasted 36minutes on the pitch when his Internacional went to Bolivia to play in the altitude against The Strongest. Subbed off after 36minutes and need an oxygen mask  God damn it. They lost 3-1 as well.

He's never been regarded as that kind of player IMO - a trickster - he's more in the bracket of "supremely effective" - like Robben. Not the best on the eye, but very destructive in your side. Wish he played for Belgium the same way he plays for Chelsea. With the national team he tends to stop the flow of the play constantly. De Bruyne runs the show there. Hazard has everything to be a top 3 player in the world, but sometimes it doesn't look like he's giving his all out there. He's never going to be a top 3 in the world player with Mourinho as manager IMO. He spends too much time in his own half and tracking back to get ridiculous amounts of goals and assists He doesn't track back THAT much in non-important games yet he doesn't score a shitload either.

Absolutely brilliant at winning fouls though. That's what is going to put him in that top bracket. Winning fouls. He needs to buck Mourinho. Anything short of winning the league & reaching CL Final would be an underachievement for Chelsea. Winning the league and going out to Bayern, Barcelona or Real Madrid in the semi's won't ever be seen as an underachievement. There's no reason Chelsea shouldn't be able to beat one of those considering how they're performing in the league, their experience and signings over the last few years. The squad and team is exactly how their manager likes it. 1 trophy in 2 years would be poor from Mourinho. Absolutely, I just don't think it's an underachievement. Still think they're the 4th best team in Europe so it (imo btw) wouldn't really be an underachievement to lose to one of the three teams which imo are better.
-
It's because he's clearly not a top 3 player in the world tbf. He's an excellent footballer but there's a case for him not being top three in the PL as well with Aguero, Yaya, Di Maria and Fabregas. Although going by Yaya's and Man U's season he could easily be seen within that top 3 as well. He'd have trouble starting for both Barcelona and Bayern as well. IMO.

Colin Murray's show insisting that they arent football fans at all its people attaching themselves to Chelsea to cause trouble. Its that attitude that has Eurotrash in places like Serbia, why cant the media accept that our precious game isnt as saintly as they proclaim? Jesus a look at mackems recent past tells you its there. I agree with you, but in a sense he's right. People who fight over football aren't fans. Football fans are those who watch games, cheer/boo their team, but don't use violence. People going to games to cause trouble aren't football fans, they're just going to games because it's an environment where violence is vaguely accepted. Pushing the guy off is absolutely shameful. Fair play for him being ''stupid'' enough to confront them again though Could've easily gotten his head smashed. I agree with you, it was just Murrays insistence that theres no problem in English football and these couldnt possibly be even a tiny bit fans of football. Was very naive and head in the sand stuff to avoid discussing it beyond calling them scum. Whether they are fans or not they are a part of football sadly, they pay enough money to follow Chelsea all over the country/Europe. Seems a lot of money and effort to be racist when they can do that at home if that was their point.

If anyone wants to see probably the worst player ratings given by a journalist in recent times, please proceed to see Psg v Chelsea player ratings on guardian. Was the person even watching the game?

Bouncing balls are difficult. Ibra did everything right, he was just unlucky to not get enough pace on it. The bounce is exactly why it was saved, it bounced to a comfortable height. If he heads it low but without the bounce it's a lot more to difficult to save IMO. I understand where you're coming from, but I being completely honest here. The best thing a striker can do with a header is to bounce it off the grass, it's much less predictable. He was unlucky to have such a good keeper in front of him and maybe the bounce was a bit too early so the ball lost pace. But heading it low could've easily rendered in the same thing here with him saving with his feet which he did on an earlier shot from Zlatan. Courtois was just great last night and I don't think you can blame Zlatan for it there.

Nah, it's my theory Willians talents is being wasted to cover Ivanovic, but that is down to tactics. I've seen Dani Alves play right wing with Messi and Neymar and no one covering for him. All down to the manager
-
I hate him as much as anyone, but I think that's being a bit harsh on him No one could have expected that that was coming. Definitely looking for a bite from me. Luiz was very good today, still think they'll improve with moving Motta in and him out. I just hope they don't put Marquinhos on the bench again. He's an absolute beast considering his age. So composed.

He's definitely not crap. He's not the best defender, but for a right-back he defends well considering the amount of s*** fullbacks in the world at the moment. I'm sorry but if you are a RB and almost never in position when the opposition attacks then that's crap defending. I don't care about the other FBs, that's irrelevant tbh. I have another opinion on how a fullback should play I like Ivanovic, strong in the air, doesn't let many get past him one on one and good going forward. Sure positioning he's not great, also why he's not a good CB in my opinion. But think calling his defending crap harsh.
