  1. We're bringing Maxwell's stroke of luck. Man has won so many titles every year, he'll win us another one
  2. Lucas? We have Bernard who is as entertaining and a better footballer. We have Neymar who is by far the most entertaining player on the team. I would've left Lucas out for the reasons I mentioned earlier, I'm much more for Coutinho and Bernard than Lucas. Felipao - do you think and/or expect Brazil to win the World Cup? (Genuine question btw) I'm in some kind of brainstorming pre-WC time to get as many opinions as possible and all that... Said it before. I think we're a top 4 team. Do think that a semi-final against Germany or final against Spain/Argentina could end in any way. I'd say I EXPECT us to reach semi-finals, from there I don't have a clue. We have a good enough team to beat anyone, but it's a World Cup and we might even go out in the group stages since anything can happen. Ok then. Think you're make the semi's personally. Then, as you say, anything can happen. Details once again decide the games and Brazil maybe, just maybe won't be good enough defensively then. We'll see. Personally I think defensively we're the best team in the world. It's going forward I'm scared off, we rely to heavily on Neymar and Oscar to perform since Fred and Hulk are good but not great players.
  3. That is the worst opinion I've seen on here. I'll accept people not liking players here and there, but saying that bringing Scolari in who in a short time got the team back in winning ways, playing good football and getting the hope back after the shit presented by Mano before is a bad decision is beyond me. He might've been part of a relegated Palmeiras (a team who wasn't relegated for the first time in a short period either and a team that had a squad full of problems) but he also won them Copa do Brasil and qualified them for the Libertadores while the next guy in was unable to save them from relegation. Basically what you wrote is loads of shit man.

  5. I respect his decision, because in the end it's his life, Spain is where he believes himself to have been given the chance. He's done what he thinks is the right move and I think every human should be able to decide given the choice is realistic. We won with the exact same team last time around. Think Mourinho has killed the way people look at players like David Luiz, Ramires, Oscar and Willian who are all extremely entertaining players when they play it their way.
  6. Still pissed at that. The cunt I respect his decision though, just pissed he picked the wrong team.

  8. I thought the latter was spared of criticism after scoring Italy x2, Uruguay and Spain x2 in the Confederations. Then again, I guess you'll never be accepted as an excellent footballer unless you play in Europe.
  9. That's the thing though, how are you going to pick someone who can't translate that into it's game. Doesn't matter if you can run fast and be entertaining when you can't perform at the highest of levels. David Odonkor didn't to that well in 2006 tbf.
  10. I've been impressed for him when playing with PSG, but always so out of depth with the national team. So not surprised he's been left out. I'd probably have taken him or Coutinho instead of Hernanes whom I don't rate that highly.
  11. I'd love to know for what reasons? As a Brazilian I'm like most are delighted he's in there. He offers something else, with his engine and ability to get into the box at the right time. Will be perfect cover for Paulinho or Hulk (the latter if we're in a tight game trying to get goals on the counter) I think he's a horrible little b****** with no talent for a start, but mainly the 9 year old in me wants the Brazil team at the World Cup in the home country to be more stereotypical. I might boycoutt their games if Ramires and Fernandinho both start out of respect for the glory days. Well we entertained in the Confed beating everyone and scoring beautiful and plenty goals with the exact same starting eleven as we'll have in the World Cup. We'll start with Luiz Gustavo - Paulinho in midfield with Oscar, Hulk and Neymar supporting Fred. Don't think it's going to be enough to win the whole thing, but am expecting us to reach the semi's at the very least, think Germany will be a step to far if we arrive there though.
  12. Scolari also know it's not all about talent, it's about forming a group and Coutinho hasn't been part of this group the same way the others are. I don't think he was ever close tbf. Think Miranda, Dede, Filipe Luis, Rafinho, Diego Cavalieri and Lucas are the ones who missed out. The rest were pretty far off. Disappointed we haven't got anyone better than Jo, but he can scores goals and you can count on him giving 150% the few minutes he'll get a chance to prove himself. Mm, would you say Maicon was a surprising selection ahead of Rafinha? No, I expected him tbh. Rafinha didn't do well when he got the chance while Maicon has gotten assist and has had a good season for Roma.

  15. Guess it was either Oscar or Coutinho. Coutinho must be gutted seeing shitebags like Willian get in ahead, though. I guess it's going to be either Rickie Lambert or Rooney? (saying this because it was nowhere near a choice between a star of the team in Oscar and someone like Coutinho trying to get into the side). It was always going to be between Lucas, Coutinho and Bernard. The latter got ahead because he's clearly the most talented even if he's in a pretty bad form of late. Shitebags, Willian, I wonder what Englands squad will be called.
  16. Roberto Firmino? He's a good player, but he's not at the same level as Coutinho, Lucas or Bernard who were fighting for that place. I think Miranda should've gone, but for some reason I like having someone like Maxwell there. He's a bit of a leader and more experienced and probably won't play a minute anyways. As for Diego Alves, he's a good shot stopper and all but Victor and Jefferson are better goalkeepers. Victor also seems to have some sort of god around him the way he pretty much singlehandedly won the Libertadores last season with some immense penalties and decisive saves. Happy with the squad, would've probably taken Coutinho and Miranda instead of Bernard and Henrique, but both are Scolaris favourites and I've never been disappointed when Bernard has played. Has immense talent and is a constant threat when on the pitch.
  17. Jefferson, Julio César e Victor. Dante, David Luiz, Henrique e Thiago Silva. Daniel Alves, Maicon, Marcelo e Maxwell. Fernandinho, Hernanes, Luiz Gustavo, Oscar, Paulinho, Ramires, Willian. Bernard, Fred, Hulk, Jô, Neymar. Only ''surprise'' Henrique from Napoli. Really thought Miranda, Dede or Marquinhos were ahead, but Scolari knows him well from his time at Palmeiras. Also, no Atletico Madrid player with Maxwell getting ahead of Filipe Luis.
  18. Brazil squad being picked in less than an hour. Very rare chance of any surprises. Will be interesting to see whos' going to be the back-up fullbacks, 4th CB and 3rd goalie and then the extra striker/winger position. Rest are pretty much the same as latest friendlies.
  19. That's the story of this forum though, either you're great or you're rubbish. Nothing in between.
  20. Giggs putting himself on the bench?
  21. Just landed and saw the final result. Went past a tv at the airport when it was on 73minutes or so. How did they let it slip like that?
  22. Sorry Golfmag, but there is no balance to this mess. He has to go.
  23. In other news. A fan in the serie B was killed after another fan threw a toilet at him from the stands. A fucking toilet. What has the world come to?
