  1. One team having a bad night at the office doesn't mean the league is bad.... i hate this mentality of CL results = strength of a league. With that said its embarrassing for Leverkusen to lose 5-0 at home to a team which has struggled all season. I think the best teams in Europe are more spread out than we've been used too in the last decade. France, Germany, England, Spain and Italy all have teams capable of winning the CL this year.
  2. Late City, PSG and Benfica goals won me £100 from £6 accy.
  3. Man City man, had them -1. Fucking my accy up. Always one team in the CL that fucks it up.
  4. Verratti sent off with 25secs gone of the 2nd half
  5. Bunch of giggsy's around here.
  6. Neymar doesn't even score.
  7. Really enjoying this game, been one of the better early CL eastern europe games in recent times.
  8. Calm down there Nice footwork and nice taken goal, but sensational?
  9. Difference between biggest and lowest attendances in Brazilian league football this season Portuguesa has an of 1.1k, but even then 1,8k against Fluminense is unbelievably bad. Biggest problem of them all are prices, people can't afford the huge prices, but 1.1k jesus christ. (mind they are the smallest team of the big teams in Sao Paulo) http://i39.tinypic.com/2eans44.png
  10. Is it going to be the same type of ball as the Jabulani?
  11. Terrible booking for Neymar that. Overhead kick and the guy puts his head infront of him
  12. Sobering. Been called a lot of s***, but Felipao? I get the message. f*** did that come from? the guy who thinks Africa will win the world cup every year. At least me an unbelievable (or whatever the dutch guys name is) have some sort of reason to be biased towards players from our national team. I shrine players that perform. The day I come on here shrining Anichebe or Kayode Odejayi, compare me to the American and yourself. Fwiw, Enyeamagnet is still the best keeper in Europe this season. Give me an example of a player I come on here SHRINING when he's in an extremely bad form like f***ing Altidore? Please don't say David Luiz, I've already said he can have some games where he's not there but that he has also a higher upside than any central defender in the league, which is a fact. My opinion is apparently so s*** it started an argument that I'm not even f***ing in. It's virulent. Baba started war. Of all people on here, Baba, the dutch guy, the harvard korean, some swedes, aussiemags and you americans shouldn't be talking about me when it comes to bias. :blackkid.gif: Racist.
  13. Btw the first post on this page wasn't really serious (well to some extent at least)

  17. I think he's been even better under Guardiola, just like Dani Alves was just excellent under Guardiola. I'm not saying he hasn't been excellent before, and like you said I'd probably have him as a top 3 fullback for each of the last four years, but he's just doing it even better now. Will be interesting to see if Pep sticks with him in midfield or moves him back to full-back whenever they get fit again.
  18. Kroos is an excellent players, quite fantastic what a team they've built over the years. Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Kroos, Thiago, Martinez can all play in that midfield 2 or 3 depending on how they play. At first getting rid of Luiz Gustavo looked like a decision that might hurt them since he could cover the fullback and DM position, but Guardiola put Lahm there and he dare I say does it even better. No one expected him to adapt this well from right-back to his new role.
  19. http://www.footballgroundmap.com/felipao WC and Euros have made my map pretty world wide

    Alan Pardew

I'm still not convinced, but as long as we are picking up points I'm not going to complain. I think this current formation suits Pardew pretty well and and we might as well milk Shola for as long as we can while his form lasts. Which isn't usually that long if previous years have taught us anything. What form? He had a good 45minutes for us, has been the weakest link for the past two or three games for us. That ain't form.

    Alan Pardew

You're telling us that when Fer made it 2-1 you were sure we were still going to win? I was nervous as I knew they'd score at least one the way the 2nd half was being played, don't really see why they wouldn't be capable of getting another?

    Alan Pardew

Erm, we did take them. If Cisse's goal had stood (as it should have) we'd have won it in a canter as opposed to winning it comfortably. Comfortably? In these so called disastrous closing stages how many saves did Krull have to make, Spurs last week was anything but comfortable, yesterday was IMO, they had a lot of the ball, but in terms of REAL chances they created bugger all. (2 attempts on target all game) If the linesman doesn't make that mistake we would have walked it. I was nervous as f*** last 10 minutes but that was more based on the ingrained over decades - "typical Newcastle will throw this away" conviction, than what was actually happening in front of me. As long as Pardew wins I won't cry or complain, but a lot of people have made some very good points. In the second half we invited them into pressure, had they been a bit better they would've punished us. Look at football in general, inviting pressure and playing defensively when leading causes more losses of points than not. We were 2-0 up and Norwich is a terrible side, why were we letting them dictate the game? New excuse every week, last week it was we were away to a better side and this week when we play an inferior side it's because the players were tired. What's next? Players fault when we actually lose from being infront?
  23. As soon as he can see the keyboard through the tears, he'll be here. The irony of this coming from his two biggest fans on here. Both who think he's a good captain. Jokers. Spot the lie in this sentence. Dry your eyes mate. You're the one who wants him to stay. I couldn't give a s*** if a coward who'd rather play in a Mickey Mouse league wants off. Let him go and lets build a defence for the future. One that doesn't get embarrassed by Norwich, Hull and Everton players. Micky Mouse league Quite a few teams in that league would probably beat us, and that's with mostly only argentinian players
