  1. Can't believe how close West Ham got.
  2. Nowt they could do tbh, they had already decided not to jump. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9ohb3w7GL1qa6ipw.gif
  3. Head-to-head collision with Carroll in the first half. Ended up bleeding a lot, so I guess that's some sort of vaseline or w/e it's called.

    Papiss Cissé

He has 18 in 38 for us in the league with many games having seen him play out wide...

    Papiss Cissé

Except he scored 22 league goals in the last two seasons, and 14 and 16 league goals in the seasons before that.

    Papiss Cissé

Not true man! Cisse took away two markers, and that's what helped Gouffran find the space for his goal. As well as Cisses link up play has been better. I don't think he has ever played this position with his back to the goal, but he has certainly been improving that linkup play for the last three games.
  7. Pogatetz man How is he in the PL again?
  8. West Ham has Carroll and Nolan who will get them enough points to stay in the league. However, ith Fat Sam they are destined for 15th or so for ever. His football tactics are old news.
  9. I think everyone has pointed out that Colo was at fault for both goals. The discussion is whether Perch was at fault too, which is pretty clear tha he was. Some just like to form discussion based on the assumption that people love Tiote and Perch is shit and that it has nothing to do with their footballing abilites. And as for indi, if we want to move on to stuff that actually matter, what's the point of the forum? Might as well everyone go out and contribute to society in a better way then...
  10. Except Reina is twice the keeper Jussi is.
  11. Nolans face when Baker collided with Carroll.
  12. For me it seemed pretty clear Marv is better behind the striker like someone suggested. If anything both Jonas and Marv made a case for why Jonas is starting on the wing. I don't know but he seems lost when he doesn't have the ball and seems more like a playmaker. Would start him centrally against Metalist with Cabaye and Tiote behind him to see how he does.
  13. i think tiote being there affected perch, just didnt looked arsed, like he knew whats coming. And when Tiote wasn't there last week against Chelsea and Perch gave Chelsea something like 3 dangerous attacks because of terrible passing and sloppy in possesion? Was that because he knew Tiote might be on the way back? Perch is a decent player, but he is nowhere near a starter for a PL side even a relegation team. He has no business starting in the PL.
  14. The free kick yesterday was hardly lathered (like Baines') it bounced just inside the six yard box and went in halfway up the post, if he get's beaten top corner fine, nowt you can do with them. He had 25 yards to react and he "nearly" got there, stands one foot to his left and he keeps it out, as he is paid to do (but hasn't done much of over this season tbh). Perch get's the s*** becasue he's James Perch, who was also better than Tiote (when he came on) yesterday. It's laughable, the "s***" players get all the s*** the "sexy" players get a free pass, objectivity leaves the room. Get lost man, it has nothing to do with his reputation. Perch just isn't a very good footballer, and Krul wouldn't have needed to throw himself at the ball had Perch acted as a PL player should. I'm not saying he's at fault for us losing, but the first goal is more Colo and Perch's fault than Krul ffs. Perch has clearly been our weakest link in the last three games of all our starters. He has been a top 2 bad performer in each and everyone of those games. I guess Colo made a case yesterday, but he has still been a top 2 worst performer for 3 straight games. Tiote thrives in games like yesterday, and we saw times and times again why Tiote should've been started ahead of Perch. Perch main aim yesterday was to break up play, give defense cover and start up play easily. He did none of them, so much that Holtby had 2 or 3 chances in the opening 30minutes to curl a ball from inside the area. To tell me it's all about 's***' and 'sexy' is f***ing ridiculous. We lost to a better side yesterday, but for me it's pretty clear. Perch and Colo for the 1st goal and Saylor and Colo for the 2nd goal.
  15. Sorry to interrupt, but at what level have you played football? When you were 12? Sunday League? Because that's one the biggest bullshits I've heard. Alliance Prem, University BUPA League, Sheffield local leagues, was at NUFC til I was 14, was the same at every level I've played. The wall decides if it's jumping or not, you don't all make an individual decision Well thank you for proving my point.

  17. Aye, that was a horrible performance. As soon as he gets called up for national team and plays well he goes on and relaxes and fucks up. But then again, I guess it would be the same to say, England's number 1. Both are together with Krul the best goalkeepers in the league at the moment.
  18. Twice the talent of Cabaye, Ben Arfa? Really? Nah.... I think so. Cabaye and Hatem are quality but Bale's on a different level. I agree that he is probably one of the betters in the league, at least from what I saw today. But Ben Arfa on his day is at the same level, I just think Bale is more consistent.
  19. Looked tired in the 2nd half. Remember Pardew saying he looked tired against Villa in the 2nd half, then to play against Chelsea and then for France and against Spurs in like 11 days or so. Will need a rest against Metalist IMO. Play Tiote-Anite-Cabaye in the middle against Metalist. With Sissoko off the bench if needed.
  20. Haven't seen a player play that good against us since Mata at home last season, absolutely dominated us today. Immense from Bale tbf.
  21. What I like most about Jonas is the fact that defensively he's quite smart. He keeps getting at Bale at random times so he can't run at full speed. We've doubled up on players well. Initially it was all coming down their left-hand side, but we've closed in on them every time and we've completely restricted them to long shots. Holtby had a couple of efforts in fairly dangerous positions, but they've not had a big chance yet. Not to go back to previous discussion, but I honestly feel that we need Tiote in there for the reason you pointed out. Holtby is getting way to much space behind there, I think Tiote would limit that. My point wasn't a debate regarding the ability of either player. Tiote is almost definitely a better footballer than Perch (not that his performances this season would sugest so). My point was - you don't sub out a player who has contributed to the best day of the season, for a player who hasn't even been in the country for a month. It would have sent a seriously negative message throughout the rest of the squad. I still stick by that, even though Perch arguably takes responsibility for the goal. How could the manager predict he wouldn't jump whilst in a wall? It's James Perchinho man, he rarely does the right thing
  22. We were being slaughtered tbh. I know but come on... the amount of "f*** offs" has got to be some kind of record!! This thread from last season has to have it beat. Which reminds me of the Newcastle 6-1 Barnsley thread from season in the Championship. Was reading through it yesterday. The happiness of winning.
