I'll be the first one to say that the Messiah should just shut up on this matter. No point in commenting on whether he will or won't to be honest. In the end everyone will only know whats true in the end of august.

Do people actually think they know better than the club. Loaning out Guthrie must mean 1. Bartons injury isn't that serious 2. Gosling, Ireland, Ben Arfa and Barton should be fit soon. 3. Perch has been decent as DM in training. 4. They have practiced 3-5-2 with wingbacks in case something happens giving extra reassurance in the back with three defenders and a DM. 5. Guthrie is shit and although good to have in squad maybe Shane Ferguson, Vukcic, Perch have impressed more in practice. 6. Must be a good loan fee involved. 7. Is this even confirmed or true for that matter?

Stu. First of all was still talking about the finishes. When you as a striker get the ball in those positions you dont think about whats happening or other are saying. Its all on pure instinct. And then secondly Meant WRONG:pow:
-
He's been playing through the middle of recent but can play outwide cutting in either side. That's right. Doesn't Udinese play a 3-5-2 with wing-backs? But still Motta/NewDM (not Tiote ) Sneijder - Cambiasso Sanchez Etoo Pazzo/Milito Isn't too shabby.
-
Neymar is a more central type of striker and needs couple of more years even if he's one of the bigger promises in the world right now. I'd look to sign Sanchez or Ganso. If Kaka can re-gain form I can see Leonardo pursuing him to. But I'd sign Sanchez no doubt. Very good player and plays out wide cutting inside already doesnt he?

Yep, Del Neri went to Juve too. Replacing Pazzini and Cassano with Maccarone and Macheda was never going to end well. Economically it would Sort of, but losing Cassano for nowt is hardly great economic business is it They didn't get anything? Bad piece of business
-
I'd sign Pato btw

You're kidding right? He has brought this team back into the title-race. FFS you guys were like 100 points behind Milan and are as of now only 2 points behind. He will need to get his players to be able to implant his tactics into this team. Players like Chivu, and Stankovic shouldn't be starting.

This team is lacking legs in the midfield. There's only Cambiasso running when he's playing. Needs to get some fresh leg in that three-man midfield. Zanetti is getting on a bit and I prefer him as a left-back. Stankovic just slows up the game, Motta is an ok player but not a player who can dominate the midfield. Italian football is so static in midfield it's sad.

Goal! Sneijder. Good stuff! Fuck Zlatan and Milan

International keeper Not class. I will never be or become or have been as good of a player but giving him credit for those goals because of circumstances of pressure? Come on, there was no pressure on those goals ffs. Give it a break man. He was very good yesterday, actually his best footballing match for us. Didn't score but that doesn't count for everything. Isn't a goal threat. Apart from when he scores. Or goes bloody close (as he did yesterday). Give. Head. A. Shake. He's going to carry the stigma of being Leon Best for a while - at the very least until he scores goals consistently over the course of a season. If he was a new January-signing called León Bestinho and had performed the way he has since he's had a run in the team there'd be a wankfest over him. I agree with you that had he been a new player than there'd be a wankfest over him. But he doesn't deserve a wankfest just yet. He's scoring and that's the important thing, and he's getting the credit he deserves for scoring, but that doesn't make him a world class player. I was the first one to criticize from the beginning saying he was shit, which I think he was despite scoring goals. But yesterday he won plenty of headers and was involved in a lotand was showing promise. Hopefully he'll keep improving. And I'd be more than over the moon if I was right.

I'm genuinely mystified that you're using your own personal experience on a football pitch to make a judgement or comment about a professional football player. Unless, of course, you are a professional football player. Let me ask why? Maybe he's played at a competitive level? I can draw from personal experience that I would've score all the goals Best scored against WHAM no doubt. Easy as s*** goals, did well to get into those positions but the finishing from there on are way to easy man. Jesus. You can't compare scoring at a "competitive level" to scoring in the Premiership, where there are added mental factors to take into account such as fan pressure and the like; as well as obvious factors such as top-class goalkeepers and defenders. If it were that easy there'd be no difference between a 20-goal-a-season league two player and a 20-goal-a-season premiership player. It's because there are parallels to be found. Everyone acknowledges that the levels of skill etc. are completely different though. Apparently not... Look what I said was finishing. I didn't say getting into those positions and so on, I was merely talking about finishing. You guys seem to give him praise for finishing with his left when in reality it's not that hard. I'm saying that people give him to much credit for scoring a goal (1st one against WHam) which Green should have left his line, the 2nd goal where he just shot and it got in and the 3rd which he was alone with the goalkeeper. I am not comparing my abilitie to Best or any other professional footballer for that matter, I was just debating the praise he gets for his finishing.

I don't see how his substitutions were excellent when our two ineffective forwards came back out for the 2nd half. Because they were creating chances so there was no point in taking them out. Rather have inefficient than non-existing forwards to be honest.

These two quotes sum up our support. The very contrast in optimism and pessimism is astounding. The top quote is more factually correct btw. Fwiw, Apisith never said that his 40 points comment directly applied to Newcastle. Just making an observation. It did. Sorry. The priority is still survival. We're playing decently but we're still not safe. Everton are a much better bet for a European place than we are. If only they could show some sort of consistency, they'd easily climb the table. Please say that again when we absolutely rape them at home

Diego? Newcastle? They brought him in for record breaking fee and he was Bundesliga best player for two consecutive seasons I think for Werder Bremen before Ribery came. Juventus bought him for a significant fee and then sold him after he didn't fit into the team. If he performs really well can see a big team coming in for him, but think he'll stay there.

This. It was a ridiculously bad timed challenge, over the ball, could've had devastating effects had Elmander kept his leg on the ground. People condem de Jongs tackle, but in my opinion his was less wreckless than this one. Elmander couldve broken his leg ffs. de Jong's was less reckless because Elmander could have broken his leg? No, that's not what i meant. The fact still remain that a tackle like Raylor will break legs more often than the de Jongs to be honest. I hate those tackles, as a footballer myself I dont find it pleasing when people lung into tackles with their foot up, and i find it even less pleasing when its a two footed tackle with the studs. It's a ridiculous challenge, and in my opinion a well worth red card. I think de Jongs also a red card, but what I'm saying is a people can't suggest this wasn't a red card and then say de Jong should be banned for life.

Wouldn't pay anything more than 10 pounds for N'Zogbia...you really want him back to f*** sort of a harmory the current bunch have created? I've always had a man crush on N'Zogbia to be completely honest. Always felt he has so much talent and also feel it's strange that you think he would disrupt the harmony at the club since he hasn't done it at Wigan and for all we know he was unhappy at being played left-back and having Kinnear as manager at the club. Then again he talked about wanting to play for bigger clubs, but who doesnt want to play in the Champions League and so on? After all we got Ben Arfa who has a worse record and until now hasn't done it at the club.
-
Well, should cost £20 if Carroll cost £35. But could see him wanting away if we finished top half and promised first-team football. Now with Torres there too, or at least get him on loan. Was really impressed with him, although first time I've really seen him play as the central striker.
-
Has Birmingham secured a european league place? Or do they have to win?
-
Sturridge - £10 N'Zogbia - £10 Douglas (Twente) - £7? Lionel Messi - pl.exchange with LeonEL Best

Was very good yesterday, and for the first time ever looked like a decent footballer. Was able to beat his man for the first time and tried to play some good balls. Got nothing bad to say about him for once. Hope he keeps on improving as it will prove that maybe we won't need to spend huge money on two strikers and only one. However, damn I'd look to bring Sturridge in, looked like a really good footballer yesterday.

I actually think he'd be more effective than Simpson on the right-back, but stupid to change it when Simpson is playing well.
