  1. I'm not saying this France side aren't one of the favourites and have a good squad. But the talk about their depth makes me think they might have the most overrated World Cup squad of all time. As a spectator of every PSG game Mbappé is still very raw and the difference in ability between him and Cavani & Neymar is still quite large. I'm pretty sure he'll be the best one day, but he's not anywhere near them at this moment in his career, makes some awful decisions consistently and same goes for Dembele. Their midfield has big names, but none except Kante actually belong as top 10 in their positions. Their central defense pairing is strong but doesn't come near Brazils, Spains or Germany's and their fullbacks are inexperienced or have had injury riddled seasons in Mendy, Sidibe, Hernandez and Pavard. Their goalkeeper is a wildcard as well, Lloris can have a great games but is equally susceptible to make mistakes. They have two players at the top level, in Kante and Griezemann. They're probably going to win it all now I've said this, but I get a feeling that all this hype is built from FIFA and facebook videos rather than there actual performance in their clubs this season. Although, I think Deschamps did the right thing in benching Giroud for Dembele as they looked much more dangerous with Dembele in the side than with Giroud. Too predictable when the big guy plays up top.
  2. Was impressed by him. Seemed like a very smooth player.
  3. Are you serious? They kept missing the easiest of passes. one of the worst passing sides I've ever seen. Just because they tried to play from the back doesn't mean it was good. A passing side with something like 75% passing rate is ridiculously bad. Russia with their more difficult passes had the same success rate almost.
  4. Man. We're going to get that 6th fucking star and it'll all be forgotten.
  5. FFS, that's nearly as bad as LBJ's 'The Decision'. Nah, nothing is as bad as 'The Decision'.
  6. I can see Peru winning this group tbh. They're a solid side. Have gotten some pretty decent results lately. I mean, France is clearly favourites, but they're a bit inconsistent.
  7. Jesus Christ. I read all of that. Love the Colombian behind bit.
  8. Let's get this shit started. Uruguay to qualify on 9points. See Egypt going through on four and better goaldifference after they keep it tight against Urugay and Salah goes off against the Saudis.

    FIFA World Cup

To be honest, as it's the 100th year anniversary of the World Cup, it'd make sense for Uruguay to host it. Uruguay and Argentina are most probably going to co-host it.

    FIFA World Cup

Is that inflated massively due to boxes/ corporate? Has to be. Best non-hospitality seats for group stages are $210 this time around.
  11. If Germany winning the title is printing money then sure. Otherwise there's a few decent goalkeepers out there who could win it if their team wins it all.
  12. I don't know. I'm sure they'll qualify from the group but both Serbia and Switzerland are decent teams and Costa Rica made it to the QFs last time. This. I don't see us winning comfortably against any of the teams. Expecting us to having to get a result last day to make sure we qualify as top in this group.
  13. Watched Belgium last night. It's only a friendly but they'll cause teams trouble and if they win the group they could potentially reach the final. Both France and Brazil lack this ball dominating midfield, which is what I think they'll have trouble against. So I can see them reaching the final by surprising both Brazil and France, but they won't beat Spain or Germany who will control the game against them. If they finish 2nd I think they'll bow out in the quarters to Germany.
  14. It is but think people are overrrating Japan a bit. Don't see how they're even close to the other sides. Expect Colombia to win it and Senegal to squeeze through as 2nd placed. Kamil Gliks injury is going to cost Poland from advancing. Think Colombia are a dark horse for the whole thing. There's not one team they can't beat on a good day. Good offensive players in James, Cuadrado, Falcao, Bacca and Muriel a long with a lot of steel defensively and in midfield. Extremely physical side.

    Transfer rumours

Was good for Santos but thought he was benched a lot for Lille.
  16. FIFA have their own tie-break system for the Golden Boot, first goals, then assists, then minutes on the pitch so it'll be based on that. There'll be a definite 1st/2nd/3rd. Come on Mitro!
  17. So what is the tie-breaker here? Thinking if three players get 5 goals each, will those share £120 and the guy who had the only guy on 4 goals win £60?
