It's Ashleys sweetspot - he gets to show off his tacky brand every week, and that's all he's interested in. Since us being in the PL is totally pointless. I'd rather get relegated multiple times as that would hurt Ashley and might make him reconsider selling (Being in PL won't). Emphasis on 'might' but I'd take "maybe" over "never" any day.
