I know I said we'd have to give him another chance because he was the best midfielder we would be able to have by a mile, but fuck me I give up, what a prick, get rid as soon as possible.

I agree and I'm definitely not patting Ashley on the back. Just looking on the bright side of the current situation. Obviously I'm hoping that someone will either take over or Ashley will have to accept the club needs to get moving again. Meaning some of the money brought in from transfers will need to be invested in new players.
-
I'm not so much pleased to see them go as just not that bothered and looking on the bright side really. I wouldn't have been unhappy to see most of them stay for now if it means we'd go back up faster obviously. No doubt these sales are weakening us at the moment and unless we're taken over soon and players are brought in it'll almost definitely take longer now to go back up, but on the bright side I'm closer to never having to see this lot in a Newcastle shirt again. Always a silver lining somewhere

Personally I think he's a tosser for other reasons then leaving the club. The same reason I think the likes of Barton, Butt, Jonas ect are tossers at the moment. Because their lack of balls and effort relegated us.. Barton, Jonas and even Butt still have the chance to redeem themselves, Beye never will.

Just wondering how you would win matches with only three players in a team? Are you confident Ashley will make the necessary signings to replace all these terrible players we are losing? I said I'm looking forward to the day when they're all gone, not I want them all sold now.. I'm looking forward too a couple of years from now when hopefully none of these tossers will be here anymore. The only players I'd be happy enough to see still in our team in a few years are those three I mentioned, is that clear enough?

Dear god, my castle for an ignore button.

Ok you've obviously got no intention of having a discussion, just intent on posting the same generic bollocks, have fun mate, I'm not going to be involved in a 'bang my head against the wall' argument You be as negative as you like and if anyone questions you just post rhetoric about them needing to 'get their head out of the sand' blah blah blah, you're a credit to the forum..
-
What conclusions did I jump too like? I assume you were replying to my comment since you quoted me, which is a fair conclusion to come to.

If I question someone saying we're going to get beaten then I must be saying we're brilliant and going to win the league yes?, no.. What I said is you simply can't watch a game against teams we haven't even played and declare that we'll obviously get beaten off them because they looked good against each other. Not until we have some kind of baseline to compare each team. It just boils my piss when people jump to negative conclusions.
-
What? Care to tell me where I said we're guarenteed to win tomorrow?, or even when I mentioned tomorrow?..
-
How does Boro vs Sheffield United tell you anything about how good either team are in comparison to us? Laughing Honestly makes me laugh this kind of s***.

I have to admit I'm just not bothered about Beye leaving, I've got no feeling for most of these fuckers and he was shit last season when we really needed him. Another tosser gone, who cares, the clubs still here and Beye is insignificant. To be honest I'm looking forward to the day when every one of them has fucked off, appart from maybe Enrique, Harper and Taylor.

Depends on the terms, it may be much more attractive than having to borrow it from elsewhere. Again, I don't think this would automatically attract chancers who only have £20m - that's not something to worry about IMO. Anyone interested will probably still have to prove to SP they can theoretically afford the full thing. If you have the dosh, just pay it off and get rid of him otherwise he will still be hanging round the club like a bad smell. I don't care if Ashley is owed money as long as he's not in control of the club anymore. Being able to pay £20m up front and owe £80m by a set date (say 4 years) is like getting a £80m interest free loan. They can then use some of that 80m to finances what they want to do with the club instead of potentially having to go to the banks and lumber us with millions of pounds in interest payments.

Sebastien Bassong signs for Tottenham Hotspur, fee undisclosed
Teasy replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
So the bid's been lowered? Maybe but the previous bid may have been 4 million now 2 million if they got in Europe, 1 million spread over 1 million payments stuff like that lol My guess is any offer now will be the full amount upfront. I think you're on the right lines, Levy doesn't do deals without add-ons and clauses. I was told the offer was £5m plus add-ons that still left it short of £10m. Whether it's been increased or changed I have no idea. If and when it gets completed, details will be reported to the Stock Exchange. If it's not reported, we'll at least know that it was less than £10m. Upfront or in total? I don't know how this works. If there fee were £6m with the potential (but not guaranteed) to rise to £10.5m would that have to be reported? If it has the potential to rise to £10.5m it has to be reported to the Stock Exchange. I was told it was £5m rising to a maximum of £8m depending on a) Number of appearances and b) Qualifying for Europe. As I said before, I don't know if it has changed but from what Sky as saying, it looks as though it won't get reported to the Stock Exchange for us to find out. Nothing reported to the Stock Exchange so any talk of £12m seems like wishful thinking. I was told it was £5m maybe rising to £8m, heard nothing to say that it changed. £5m rising to £8m , now that's wishful thinking on your part. Considering reports its pretty safe to say the fee is somewhere between £8m and £12m. -
How many chances can he get though? I was happy to give him a chance, despite previous incidents, but when he does things like he did in the Liverpool game, he shows how ridiculous he can be! We don't need that in our team. I agree I wanted him gone as well and if we had more options, as in we were still in the Premiership then I still would. But in our situation he's the best midfielder we can get by a country mile. So that makes it a lot easier to say "one more chance".

I wouldn't assume Smith is staying yet and as far as I know we want rid of Geremi, unfortunately its not as easy to sell a player like Geremi as it is Martins, Bassong or Beye. I also think we need Barton now, we're low on midfielders and he's a player capable of being quality in the Premiership never mind the Championship. He hasn't murdered anyone for at least a few months as well so we should give him a chance
-
That's pretty similar to the defence that played against West Brom last season to be honest (Taylor in for Bassong).. yeah and we conceded two goals if i remember correctly Yeah we conceded two goals to a player West Brom don't have anymore

He was signed under the Ashley regime, I can't see Ashley paying someone 50k per week who cost 2.7m. It's all bollocks man, our wage bill probably isn't anywhere near what the papers say. Where do they get these figures from? 65m? Do they have access to NUFC payroll systems? Yet again Geremi was a free transfer and he's on like £60-65k a week. I doubt he's on that mate, no-one has any evidence, yes our wage bill is too high or this league but, it'll be nothing like what they say. Have you noticed, Martins, Owen, Viduka and Cacapa have left yet they haven't changed this 65m bollocks. I've definitely noticed that, ask Dave No I definitely wouldn't believe the wage bills mentioned in the papers. They seem to change weekly yet they never vary based on players going or staying, they just seem to randomly fluctuate depending on what that particular "journalist" had for his breakfast that morning. I would however believe that Geremi is on that kind of wage, the 60k-65k number has never varied since we signed him as far as I can remember.

So your ITK was wrong? Correct me if I'm wrong but his ITK wasn't talking about Moat, he was talking about the rival bid. Sorry my mistake, just assumed this was the only bid. Who fucking knows to be honest

Bollocks, I won't be up then

Where do they get these figures from? 65m? Do they have access to NUFC payroll systems? Our wage bill was 73m pounds last season as far as I remember, that's straight from the club accounts. With the players that have gone it should be in the low 50's now though. I wouldn't be suprised at all if Beye was on 50,000 a week, or at least close (45k maybe?). Compared to so many others at the club that may have been seen as a reasonable wage by Ashley (Owen 115,000, Viduka 80,000, Martins 70,000, Barton 65,000 ect).

Doesn't suprise me, I had Beye down as being on at least £45,000 a week.

Hull will continue where they left off in the second half of last season, as the worst team in the division by a mile, they'll get relegated without a doubt IMO.
