  1. Wow what a revelation, we all knew that Harry you prick.
  2. Its good to see that there are managers deluded enough to give us such amazing deals. The only way Duff could have done worse for us in his time here is if he had a shit in our 6 yard box at the beginning of every game.
  3. I'd honestly rather keep Hughton than have O'Leary here. Actually, I'd sooner take Ossie Ardiles than O'Leary! You're both mad. We've never won a game with Hughton in charge, him being in charge for only 9 games last season got us relegated for f*** sake, he's the anti manager and made Kinnear look top class Wrong, we beat West Brom. I'm well aware he sat in the dugout during that match. But given the situation I've never given him credit for that win.

  5. Fair enough but I hope you won't take offense if I don't take that as gospel I'd be surprised if he was on that much, 60k was bad enough, 70k would be sheer insanity.
  6. According to who? £60-£65k as far as I know, I've never heard anyone claim he's on £70k.
  7. They were offering him £20k were they?
  8. If anyone wastes their money on him I hope its the Spuds
  9. Get back to my when its on SSN...
  10. Its a mystery then. They probably gave him an assist for Huntingtons goal against the Spuds when Milner crossed it, Huntington headed it off Sibierski and then scored on the second attempt. Not normally what I'd consider an assist like but whatever. No idea where they get the eighth from but I suppose I can live without knowing
  11. James Milner? Are we thinking of the same player? He was joint 3rd overall in the Premier League last season for assists. The most was RvP with 11, four players on 10 (Fabregas, Gerrard, Berbatov and Lampard), Milner got 9. Last season, for Villa, right so was he going to keep us up by being good in Villa's team? Like I said mate FOR US he produced nothing, his end product was terrible. He didn't play for us last season so no I wouldn't have expected him to. Saying he produced nothing in his time here is just blatantly making stuff up. The season where we had Sibierski, he got about 10. So he had one poor season - fuck me, hang the kid. Did you see him set a goal up for England against Holland last night? He got 6 Premiership assists that season, better then Duff or Jonas by a couple but hardly particularly good, and that was probably his best season. I didn't mean to say he never produced a thing mind, I was talking about the season and a bit leading up to him leaving. He didn't, he got 8. Could you tell me which teams he got those eight against?, because I can only see six.

  13. To be honest I'm not bothered about discussing how good or bad a player he was and why. Just saying that when it comes to things that got us relegated selling the likes of Milner would be near the bottom of the list.

Whether he's good or not now for Villa doesn't interest me. He might have improved his crossing now or maybe its just because he's playing in a quick team with lots of movement and the likes of Carew on the end of his crosses. But the fact remains that considering he produced barely any goals for us selling him was not one of the main reasons we were relegated.
  15. Still amazes me that people think that's why we got relegated. Because we sold a sulky tit who barely played and contributed nothing when he did, a hard working winger with no end product and a goal keeper. Milner's got no end product? Fuck me. Are we really going to get into this again, for us yes no end product mate. He can be the best player on the planet for Villa for all I care but he wasn't keeping us up by contributing no goals was he? IMO losing him and Given weakened us slightly, having Hughton in charge weakened us massively.

Because we sold a sulky tit who barely played and contributed nothing when he did, a hard working winger with no end product and a goal keeper. We're already repeating the mistake that got us relegated last season, which is fucking about trying to sell the club with Hughton in charge.
  17. agreed who would replace him? Well we would still have Nolan, Barton, Guthrie, Geremi and Butt () for two positions. As well as younger players like Vuckic.
  18. No way, you'd reject £4m for Butt? I could understand rejecting an offer for Smith but not that prick, he actually hurts our performance when he plays. He's the only player we have left I'd accept any offer for without thought. I was actually hoping he'd stays injured because I just know when he's fit he'll be the first midfielder on the team sheet, at the expense of the likes of Guthrie and Barton who are far better players.
  19. Gonzales as well, I'm sure we were paying his wages while he was here on loan. Probably about £25m in wages gone in total if Duff leaves.
  20. If Ashley is really looking to not sign anyone then obviously he isn't going to turn down this offer so its pointless to hope that'll happen. I mean its a much more likely scenario for us to sell Duff and bring in a loan player to cover.
  21. Damien Duff. Have you even watched him for the last few years in our strip? To be fair we didn't play in the Championship for the last few years.. Is he going to try harder against worse opposition or something? No he's going to be better against worse opposition, because, well... they're worse Its not difficult like Dave Not if he puts in the same pitiful effort he won't. I can't get over how split this is. IMO Duff's main problem is lack of pace, something that isn't a problem when playing in the Championship. Anyway no matter how you look at it the Championship is a far lower quality league were players who are barely good enough for the Premiership (whether through lack of ability or effort) often shine. Amazingly I think Duff has the ability to shine in this awful league.
