Don't think many are trying to give you grief, most people who don't believe it just think you might have been lied too somewhere down the line (maybe even Lambias who's a lying prick at the best of time). I personally would say that Everton have a lot more fans from the neighbouring counties of Merseyside than we have from outside of our region...jesus its like you saying Leeds dont have a big fanbase just because they dont fill elland road anymore whereas Leeds United have a much bigger fanbase than we do Leeds have a much bigger fanbase? Seriously how do you come too these conclusions? We can fill a 52,000 seeter stadium while Everton can't even come close to filling a 40,000 seater stadium, Leeds barely filled a 40,000 capacity stadium when they were in the Champions League for fuck sake! But they have a much bigger fanbase then us because "you would say they have more fans outside of the region"? Firstly mate that's guess work, secondly its pretty irrelivant. What's Everton and Leeds merchandise revenue at vs ours? I mean fans buy merchandise right wether they live in the same region or not?

So your saying Everton have significantly less fans going to matches then Newcastle but its realistic to think they might have more fans? It doesn't matter how many people are in Evertons "catchment area" if those people aren't fans. They have a smaller fan base then us, simple fact.

How is that open for discussion? They can't even fill a 40,000 capacity stadium despite the team finishing 5th, meanwhile we averaged close to 50,000 while getting relegated. If your going to be a negative nelly at least stick to the facts.

You seemed to imply the takeover is common knowledge and yet the papers don't know? Well, no, not true some people have started a 'rumour' which others have heard. The papers clearly trawl the net for rumours, hence the Vialli rubbish they printed. Yet none of them believe this... So what would that tell us though? They clearly didn't have a clue back then and just latched on to any rumour going, so why not this one? Actually the Vialli thing was known to be false from the start on the net, so it was probably when it started spreading like wild fire via text that they picked up on it.

Well it's heading that way. 18m for Bassong, 8m for Beye, then there's that 'world class' Argentinian International worth 8m, throw in another 12m for Taylor and Enrique. That doesn't mean people think they're worth that money, just that they think in this currently insane market someone might actually pay it anyway. I hate to have to sound as if I believe this Dubai thing, because I'm just waiting to see like anyone else. But I don't see how a player knowing nowt means much at all. I meant more the bit where he says 'No one knows anything, from Shearer down.'. Not one of the journalists, the people whose very job it is to find out stuff like this, have ran with it. Do people trusted enough up to know about these kind of things normally go around blabbing? I hope it's right, I really do. But I think it's a load of bullshit. Still fuck all about Dubai. See now this has been getting on my tits for a while, where on earth do these papers keep getting these wage bill figures from? We had a wage bill of about 70m last season. We've released players on at least 17m a year and now we have a wage bill of just 3 million less then before?, now that's some great maths skill for you!

Because like I said D.I.C is an investment company that handles lots of big investers money according to them, not just Dubai's.

What makes us a better deal then them, we're actually for sale maybe? Again why does it matter so much that we're currently in the Championship if a billionaire is wanting to pump massive sums of money into a club? That kind of money would guarentee promotion anyway. The fact is we're a very big name club with a top notch stadium, training facilities and fan base. We've been terribly mis-managed since the days we played some of the best in the world in the Champions League. However we're still known world wide and any new owner has to have the confidence that under his/their management we won't be badly managed and so won't go tits up. It only takes someone with a bit of vision (or a fan who isn't wallowing in self pitty) to see what this club could be under the right management. Wether D.I.C are those people is another question though.

Because he see's that he can get a club with better facilities and a bigger fanbase then most Premeirship clubs? The league where in doesn't matter if he's willing to splash lots of money we'll come straight back up. The squad doesn't matter, again if he's throwing money in it'll be gutted out and rebuilt anyway. Everything else about the club (stadium, training facilities, fanbase ect) is top notch and makes most current Premeirship clubs look like donkeys.

D.I.C isn't just the Dubai royals. Its a company that invests money for various rich people and companies. Including Dubai Holdings which is the Dubai royal families money. I think it also includes the president of the UAE, he founded the company anyway so I assume he's still involved?

Where does that article say anything about the future? Nowhere, its a statement from 11 months ago and quite a bit has changed since then. I remain unconvinced about D.I.C taking over, however that statement isn't relevant at all.
