He played Malouda onside The amount of times he screws up the defensive lime is staggering for a defender of his supposed "intelligence" Enrique let him run when he was supposed to be marking him, but Enrique's too much of a favourite for criticism so put it all on Coloccini, seems to be the trend. Enrique's one of my favourite player as well, but I'm not going to ignore any mistakes he makes. Who are we going to play instead of Enrique? What?

What are you talking about? I'm talking about the fact that Enrique was the one really at fault for that chance.

Are people honestly blaming Coloccini for that late chance? Unreal, he's been shit lately no doubt, but apparently now he's a scapegoat for everything. I suppose he was at fault for the second as well?

Enrique, what the fuck.

On today's performance Butt > Nolan. This. Butt and Guthrie is our best midfield. Erm, Barton..

Kinnear to return as manager in the summer, or so says that idiot Llambias
Teasy replied to ChrisJbarnes's topic in Football
I'm not giving Hughton credit for the West Brom win, Kinnear prepared the team right up to a few hours before kickoff, and also picked the starting 11. Maybe if Hughton had managed to win a single game since then (or even in his first spell) I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. But as it is we've taken 2 points from 5 games since (and 0 points from 3 games the first time around) which is pretty damning IMO. I don't really blame the bloke though, he shouldn't have been left in charge so long. We won against Bolton with Keegan in charge by the way. Having said that I've just realised my list is wrong because Keegan also had a loss, so I've edited my post. -

To be exact - Keegan - 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss Kinnear - 5 wins, 8 draws and 6 losses. Hughton - 2 draws, 6 losses I agree he's not good enough for us and he shouldn't come back. But its clear from those stats that he certainly didn't get us into this. He's played only a part in getting us into this, but nowhere near the biggest part. -

I don't want him back because he's not a particularly good manager with health problems. However I have to disagree that he's very much responsible for our decline. We got 23 points out of 19 games under him, were as we've taken 2 points out of 8 games under Hughton. From his record we'd be safe on 38 points already had he managed us for the games Hughton has. Having said that Hughton isn't responsible either, he's a coach who shouldn't have been put in this position for so long. Whoever decided it was ok to leave a coach in charge of the first team despite a pattern of poor results is responsible for our decline (Ashley/Lambias basically). A lot of those points were picked up during his honeymoon though. Things have got consistently worse. We got 11 points from Kinnear's last 8 games before Hughton took over. That's actually a better points tally per game then his first 11 games. I'm not saying he's done great, but no matter how you look at it the games we've had under Hughton are the ones that have really put us in the shit. Obviously I don't want him back, but I certainly don't hold any ill will against him and I won't blame him for our situation. I honestly don't believe we'd be in this situation had he been able to manage the other 8 games Hughton took charge of. I think he'd have kept on getting his rather mediocre 1 and a bit points per game and we'd currently be safe on 35-36 points. -

Not compared to back then. Remember Derby when not only didn't we have a chance against them but we didn't even look like coming close to creating one? Remember game after game of ping pong Football with not a single string of passes? Even in the games where we did well (Chelsea ect) we did so by bullying them, not playing Football. As I said we're shit at the moment, no doubt about it, mostly because nobody seems able to motivate the players in the winnable games (Hull ect). But when the players can motivate themselves, against the big sides (Manure, Arsenal), we've played some decent stuff. Put it this way, at the moment overall we play crap Football. Back then we didn't even play Football, I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't Football.
-
And now? We're losing games, but you can't seriously compare us now to the team when Keegan came back in. That team found it difficult to string a single run of passes together in an entire game. It was THE worst Footballing experience of my life watching Newcastle games at that time, not only was our confidence through the floor but we seemed to have forgotten how to play any semblance of Football. At the moment we're lacking passion and motivation in key games, that's our problem, but we're not playing terrible Football and we're at least confident enough to have a go at teams when we're motivated enough. All Shearer needs to do is motivate the players in the more winnable games and we'll stay up. Not an easy task, but nothing like the task Keegan had on, all be it with a much longer time to do it.
-
No it wouldn't IMO. As you said there are only 8 games left, we needed an impact appointment and if anyone can have an instant impact on not just the club but the entire city its Shearer.
-
I don't think Shearer needs to do as much to get us winning as Keegan did. When Keegan came in we were an anti footballing travesty of a team.
-
Even more importantly Hughton will never be in charge again!
-
Balls of steel mate, can you imaging the bruise's on his wifes arse? Were as Hughton must have balls like soggy tea bags.
-
Its going to be interesting watching the swing in the relegationometer
-
He has won me over. Your in Ireland so are you talking to Duff? If that's not stereotyping, I don't know what is. Nah, not Nile Ranger. Don't want to say cause I don't want him facing any disciplinary measures or anything. Why would you think any player would know anything more about Ashleys motives then any of us anyway? Do you think Ashley tells the players, or the coaching staff ect why he does things?, of course he doesn't.
-
Remove the word only and he'd be partly right. Obviously he wants us the stay up so that's going to be the main reason behind it, getting fans on his side will also be part of it of course.
-
Our squad is not piss poor, its pretty clear that its been the situation with the management and the atmosphere around the club that's put us in this position. Obviously the players have been shit, but there's no way our squad of players should be in the relegation zone.
-
Cos he knows he could potentially do something about us dropping out of the premiership?? It's a month too late, if it happens. Could be setting himself up for a huge fall if we do go down. Ashley must really be desperate to win the fans back over. If it's true, I hope he can turn it around. I just don't have a good feeling about it at all. Well answer me this, would you rather have Kinnear, or Terry Venables? They've certainly waited much longer then they should have to appoint someone but its not too late, the international break is a good time to appoint a temporary boss to try to save us. He might not be proven but he's an incredibly strong character with far more passion for Newcastle United then anyone else we could have appointed. This is the kind of appointment that could lift the entire city never mind just the players. Also we're third bottom of the league with 8 games left so I don't see it as him setting himself up for a fall, he's got a mamoth task to keep us up. If he does he's an even bigger god, if he doesn't he was hired too late. Any move we make now or even a few games ago would be a desperate one, but at least this is a extremely positive desperate move

As horrible as that sounds I'd take it at the moment. Because I fear what will happen is we'll stick with Hughton, which almost assures our relegation. -
Right yeah some people backed him as I said, maybe several at most. There was no need to make it sound like the place was a cauldron of people signing his praises and claiming Kinnear was the man to take us into the next decade. That never happened.

I didn't call you a name, I just described how your posting. There would have to be an argument to lose an argument, you don't offer any argument.

You've given me nothing to defend myself against, nothing to discuss really. Its like trying to have a discussion with a retarded version of NE5. Which gets pretty boring after the novelty wears off. Give me names, dates, quotes, something. Be slightly useful for fuck sake!
