    Anthony Gordon

His head could be a mess from watching a bunch of shambling mongs wander around as he sits on the bench for the last couple of weeks. But Newcastle United have nothing to do with that.
  2. If we assume the highest reported price for both then the fact is that the money leaving our balance sheet this year in this deal would be £2m at most with £35m coming in. Giving us up to £200m spending this season based on this deal alone. If we're conservative about it and want this deal to provide two years of installments on transfer spending we could still spend £100m based on this deal and we now have that second choice keeper we were looking for.

Desperately holding out against Slovakia, bringing on holding midfielders and sitting deep. Again Southgate is the absolute fucking worst.

Southgate is just the absolute worst.
  5. Anderson has no value on our books, £35m can conservatively allow for £100m+ of spending in PSR terms this season. Great deal for us.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

When people agree with someone's opinion (we aren't selling Isak or Gordon ect) they don't tend to mock that opinion. Don't see what's surprising about that.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

As far as FFP is concerned we'd have all the money now and could spread it over long contracts ourselves meaning we'd basically have zero FFP limits.
  8. Gallagher and Eze on the pitch with Palmer and Gordon sitting on the bench..
  9. Yeah and next season when Villa don't qualify he can look for another team temporarily in the CL to move to, us probably..
  10. Another PL club yes, Villa no, he does actually seem to like it here. That might not be enough to keep him from Man City, but I see no reason why he'd be making a big change for a club like Villa. Of course if we wanted to sell him I've little doubt, but as a release clause I think he'd need a good offer to move.
  11. I heard he hasn't yet ruled out jumping off a building, really worried for his safety.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Why would it make no sense? £40m brought in would allow us to spend upwards of £150m just from that sale. If we can sell Almiron for £20m do that too and use both deals to invest a couple of hundred million plus this season while still meeting FFP.
  13. Wishful thinking/delusion from other clubs. We have no FFP issue that would imminently cause a problem and our revenues are only going to go up. We wouldn't even want to sell for £100m, he's worth more to us than that. Just glad so many other clubs are currently shy to spend big because the £100m clause must be very tempting to a few of them. No matter what some of the weird trolls on here say he's a world class midfielder well worth that price.

Yeah and if Calvert-Lewin could score one in two like Wilson he'd be a great signing based on last season's appearance record, but he can't. He scored less goals in 38 games then Wilson did in 20. Yeah there's more to a front man than just goals, but I think we should be aiming higher than significantly sacrificing goal threat for a the possibility of more appearances.
  15. You mean the same government that put pressure on to get the takeover to happen (while our own elected Labour MP was talking it down) and got shit on here for doing so?
  16. Why am I finding out, on a Football forum, how some Man U official voted in a political referendum?
  17. So many complaints about Almiron yet I haven't heard a single mention of Barnes, who was far worse. Almiron was stupid with that dive. But he also got in behind at times and created a goal if not for the pass to him being a fraction to late. Meanwhile Barnes was off the tempo in basically everything he did. I like Barnes so I'm not going to call him names for it, but I just find it odd that out of the two Almiron is the one given no credit at all.
  18. Is Longstaff 50 years old? He's like a old fucking man with arthritis!!
  19. Sheffield United are done as far as staying up is concerned. They've got zero chance. They've got 3 wins all season. They'd need to win 4 in a row and hope that Forrest get no more than a single point. They may already be playing as a relegated team now. But wether that means they'll collapse completely or play with a bit more freedom is anyone's guess.
  20. The contact is clearly enough to change his balance and stop the shot. It's a penalty because it's obviously "contact with consequence". But again rules are only suggestions to Premier League officials and they can just decide to ignore them if they want the result to go the other way.
  21. I'm glad Forrest have said that. Somebody has too when it's so blatantly corrupt. I just hope they mean it and it's not just some crazy twitter loon at the club gone rogue, which unfortunately it probably is. The argument that no matter how much you're cheated you must simply be dignified, swallow it and move on, is frankly bullshit.
  22. Even if you decide it's outside the area after looking at 20 replays, how is that a obvious mistake by the ref?? Again they just make the rules up as they go to benefit whoever they want.
