Some sort of collapse back to dirt poor football clubs is hardly gonna signal some great change in the way the fans are treated. I know exactly what HTT wants, but I think the lack of TV money and all the trappings that the Premiership brings will mean shit facilities for the fans, a return of violence and hooliganism on the terraces, and terrible football. While I understand the problems Sky causes for fans and see the need for their wings to be clipped (quite a bit, in fact), I don't think enough people appreciate what football would be like if Sky's money was suddenly gone from the game.

I know the debate has moved on a little bit, but Berbatov would not be good in our team. He's a class player, but he needs other good players around him and he's not pacy. I'd pick Martins ahead of him every time, simply because Martins gives our team that edge. So does Jonas, and if we go for a central midfielder this window I hope it's somebody with pace(ideally an upgrade on Dyer without the horrific injury record)

It really wasn't that bad, Griffin got turned by Cole for the goal, then they went back to the centre circle for kickoff, Fuller turned around and starting yelling at Griffin, who walked over to him and then got a light slap on the cheek, then they got pulled apart. Couple of the West Ham players went to break it up and then the rest of their teammates dragged them away too. Dyer/Bowyer was 10 times worse.

I think a little bit more perspective is needed about this. We were unlucky to have had a 6 game unbeaten streak ended at Wigan, and we lost 3 defenders over the course of two games. They were always going to win. I really hope Kinnear keeps them in the dressing room for an hour and lights them up, then gets em in tomorrow to get things right again, but we've just gotta let this one go, dwelling on this is gonna lead to nothing good for the club.

Just gotta move on, we would have lost this game anyway. Here's hoping for a successful 2009 cup run.
