Quite a few it seems. Beren in particular.

jack apparently. Me? I understand it but it couldn't have been handled worse, both during and after the game. Not so arsed about the "after" bit, but the circumstances during the game were a joke.

Who doesn't understand the Cabaye sub?

Who now plays right-back for Bayern Munich.

Born in France but plays for Cameroon. Thought this was what Yaron was getting at... obviously not

I usually love stoking these kinds of threads like a sadistic bastard, but I have to say it's got to the point where I'm struggling to be arsed.

Pardew (I know) in the press conference: "The snow's coming, we've got probably the best workforce at the ground to clear it and a good relationship with the council. We're doing everything to make sure it's definitely going to be on. I think ours will definitely be on." Probably wouldn't admit in public that he'd rather have the week off If we were to play this game in a month or 2 then we'd have Taylor, Ben Arfa and Tiote back plus new signing Monday Bandele. Maybe a bit of momentum off the back of beating Villa too. Not like other players could get injured in the meantime or anything. You're wrong man

TV definitely encourages them to get it on, but when the home side is desperate to play it like we are it probably has as much bearing on things too.

Yip, city centre is fine. It's chcuking down outside here mind at the minute but games have went ahead in much worse conditions. I read that as a 'DURING THE WAR...' kind of thing. Chortle, was more Chelsea in 2010 that i was referring to when the snow was much much worse. Was it a televised game? Aye, Sunday match IIRC.

Conditions were similar - quite probably worse - in the build-up to the Chelsea 1-1 a couple of seasons ago. From what I've seen being out and about today Newcastle City Council have been quite well-prepared for this, as soon as you cross the boundary on the Coast Road heading into North Tyneside the difference is massive though Even the side streets I was passing through in Benton, Forest Hall, Gosforth and suchlike were clear, in comparison to the ones on the coast which were like ice-rinks. NUFC are obviously desperate to make sure it's on as well, which is half the battle.

I'll eat a very small hat if this is called off.

Dimitri Payet man. We might as well just buy the rest of Lille's star players. He's from Réunion, plays left-wing, would cost about the same as what Robert did and is about the same age as when we signed him. Has 8 goals and 9 assists this season already. Got 6/8 last season and 13/7 the season before, so he's pretty proven in Ligue 1.
