Not silly. Get in. Haven't slept well ahead of this. Let's just win, eh?
-
People are silly. It's either Ba or Obertan, surely? If it's not, then I suppose I'm the silly one.

Well of course he has. But if we feel that we can get a better player in - and we've got plenty of time to do that - why offer him a longer / bigger contract? It really all boils down to how much you rate him as a player, and amidst all the wringing of hands I haven't noticed one post that says he's a good player who we need to keep. This was the initial post I had replied to, hadn't spoken about anything regarding the one you were agreeing with. Crossed wires?

Far from it. Sibierski was poor in the Premiership for us, he only done it against part-time vampires from eastern europe. And Viduka did? Sat on the treatment table eating pies and collecting his Freddie Pension? I take it you don't remember him when we played the 4-3-3 under Keegan then? Me and you are going to be talking about that 4-3-3 under Keegan until we pop our clogs. Viduka was class in that spell like.

I'm not assuming anything, Cronky is suggesting he be sold because he could be quite easily replaced. Most people have taken issue with this last part, based on our current dealings in the market, which is fair enough at this point in time. Can't make it any clearer than that.

Has that been the point made by anyone, though? Might have missed it, but most people seem to be worried that we could sell him and then struggle to replace him with anyone better. How much you rate him as a player and how easy it would be to replace him with someone better are inter-related questions, aren't they? We replaced Nolan with someone better so I can't see why we couldn't do the same with Simpson. Nice to see somebody with such a sunny outlook at this present moment, but I have to point out that Cabaye has proven nothing here yet, same goes for Ba (Carroll) and whoever comes in to replace Jose. People are rightly concerned about our ability to invest/improve and are equally content with Simpson as our right-back option, from what I can see, so they're naturally skeptical about simply selling him because "we can get better". I don't think you're necessarily wrong in relation to Simpson (don't really rate him, but still like him), but you do appear to be a bit disconnected from the current climate of things as far as incomings/outgoings are concerned.

Aye, this Maiga fella looks like he's desperate not to come here. Agree with the feeling behind the rest of the post, but that bit falls apart a bit towards the end.
-
Looks like he could be Woody's son (goalkeeping coach). Surely just a safety signing based on the fact they'll know him from Charlton?
-
Dabizas 1-0, for starters. Liam O'Brien over the wall, etc.
-
Jesus, Monkey's back. Had totally forgotten his existence on here.

Bastos plays on the left wing, usually. Cannot really defend. Keep seeing quotes attributed to Garde that make it seem like one or the other will be leaving this summer, but I did think Bastos played on the wing for them and left-back for Brazil. Puzzling. Well Bastos has recently said he's staying. Aye, saw that bit too. Never easy to wade through with Google Translate, so I'm not 100% that's what their manager is trying to convey. They both started in Lyon's opening game.

Are Bastos and Cissokho battling for one position at Lyon these days?
-
Simpson was pretty decent today. He looks miles better when he's in the mood to put his foot in and make tackles. Colo though, dear me, ridiculous how pivotal he has become.

Next dolt to post a football video gets a two-week long paddlin' We've been lenient as fuck this summer, but it's getting daft now.
-
Genuinely laughed out loud.

Wish today would hurry the fuck up. Sick of waiting for this 3-1 win.

Been done about 5 minutes ago.

Undoubtedly, I don't even know why I watch most of the time. Force of habit. They do no research and know fuck all for the most part. All of them are in their comfort zone, but at the end of the day it's becoming more of an entertainment format than an analytical format, so they're there for that reason.

Here Thompson, fuck off. We've brought in two players from the French league, the other two came in from PL clubs. Abeid is neither here-no-there at the moment. Fucking clueless.
-
Well I really think that we'll win. So ner.
