  1. Look in the OP, Stephen edited in a while ago. They all should be in barring about three or four who declared on this page. Right, does anyone have any preference or idea for the venue? I personally reckon Parks in North Shields for the venue. That'd certainly be handy for me, like! I'm happy to get anywhere on the right side of the Tyne though.
  2. Aye. Fact is all three of our strikers have their own qualities and the starting team should be set up to take best advantage of all of them whenever possible. With those three on the pitch and playing well we have a very potent strike force, better than many teams in this league. 'No-taktikz' Kevin Keegan got them working, and it should be a priority for whoever our manager is. Sadly Kinnear is far too negative to bother. It boils my fucking piss. It's not like we're winning games anyway, even the "easier" ones, so why not just go out, try and play football and have a fucking go? Football these days man.
  3. I'm at a loss to decide who the best front two is myself and with the injuries we have in midfield at the moment I'm banging my head against a wall with the hope that Fat Joe will go 4-3-3... Viduka, Martins and Owen stand alone as three of our best players, easily. They are extremely valuable to the team. Joe has to involve all of them, and hopefully he'll realise that sooner rather than later.
  4. For what it's worth, even though it's somewhat of an aside to the debate, one of the main reasons I felt we didn't make more of a title challenge after Bellamy's injury in 2001/02 was because Robson opted for Cort ahead of Lua Lua, who seemed a far more like-for-like replacement for Bellers. I'd be willing to bet Wor Al had some involvement in that decision though as he probably didn't fancy playing with the unpredictable Lomana much.
  5. Agreed, again. I think the blue makes it look a bit more tacky. You have fantastic taste.
  6. Bit soon to be saying that after he's played 3 full games this season... Am I not right in saying we won 2 of them? Just watching him you can tell he's leaps better than what we have and would walk in tomorrow if fit. He can pass forward tidies up and can put a tackle in. I don't disagree that he's our best central midfielder, but he's still hardly been value for money, has he? To say, right here and now, that selling him would have been a "catastrophic mistake" is an overexaggeration of catastrophic proportions! He's no use to us when he's injured.
  7. That's exactly the sort of thing we're after. Something we could use and then build the new forum theme around, to make everything all match up. I actually like the plain black/white one better, like! Looks very sharp.

  9. If it happens between December 20th and January 18th I can play as well. Been playing across the midfield for the team I play for in Hull recently.
  10. For what it's worth, I'm sure we'd be up for having a new "tagline" if someone can up with a good one.
  11. I like it. I like it a lot. Fonts are a bit cack, though, particularly the second line.
  12. We could desperately do with a quality signing for the centre of the park, regardless of whether Butt stays or not. I do think Barton is good enough when he's actually available and in the right frame of mind and Guthrie and Butt are fine to play when necessary. We're still crying out for some power/athleticism in there, though, and have been since the mighty Amady Faye left us for pastures new.
  13. Maybe its because they are the 2 shittest teams away from home in the league? Beat me to it. Although I can appreciate that Yorkie might be right, I do get the feeling it was more who we were playing than who was playing for us. Were we even that good against Stoke in the first half? They were truly, truly awful and as far as I remember we stopped playing after 24 minutes.
  14. You lovely man! I'm getting the Duff one and the basic N-O one for Xmas.
  15. I use my iPod Touch for browsing when I'm away/on trains and stuff, and have wondered about the images myself. Will be very nifty having our proper logo saved instead of the screenshot.
  16. What do you mean for this mate? Just the little square images you'd use to directly link into the forum through the Touch/iPhone? favicon-esque image 57*57 pixels called apple-touch-icon.png in the root directory. then when u bookmark this to your home screen on an ipod touch or iphone it'll show that logo. its so much better than what you get atm, which is just a logo that the iphone creates - just a tiny screenshot of the webpage. Dave's PM'ed me the link you gave back in October. We'll definitely be doing this when the forum is re-designed mate/when we get the new logo.
  17. We'll be able to add outlines at a later date if necessary, like we did with the original crest.

    Maintenance Updates

Zippy for me. 0.08 seconds page creation and a basically instant entry into this thread. Will check it out.
  20. I'd still gladly swap it for everything we've seen since. UEFA Cup football didn't help us that year at all, especially in regards to the Wolves game. If anything it was the UEFA Cup that kept our season going imo. All the fixture changes, the jetlag from playing Thursday-Sunday all the time, something was just lost completely since the Partizan game, the magic had gone. That's the pinpoint of when it started going wrong for me.
  21. I've seen him stroking balls off the park.
