You don't believe he won't get us relegated? Worrying.

I hope you told him to learn how to head a fucking ball and how not to act injured after fluffing a chance and then to look arsed when Stoke score

Has nobody pointed out to him that the squad is "bigger" now than it has been for years? Or reminded him of Stephen Carr in the middle of the park? There are so many examples to use in order to shut him down, so start using them. It's easy done because the bloke is an idiot at worst and a very good WUM at best. We get a bad result and he takes his frustration out on here by talking cobblers, people must have noticed the pattern by now.
  5. that is a very good point. What kind of fucking clown changes a defence that has kept 2 clean sheets on the spin mid-game though? Fuck's sake. I would have rather he'd brought Viduka on and gone 4-3-3 firstly, or even if he'd just played Cacapa or Taylor as a holding midfielder. To play 3 players out of position was unforgivable and basically cost us a win.

He was a fucking clown yesterday like. Those changes at half-time were abysmal.
  7. I hope they get Fat Sam, to be honest, and he crashes and burns again.
  8. Me. The fact it's on BBC, Sky Sports, Setanta Sports, etc. is probably confirmation enough. I'm not waiting for the mucky Mackems to tell us it's done and dusted.
  9. I'm sure we had at least 2 for each position back in 01/02. Weren't Griffin, Hughes, Barton, Elliott and Bernard all at the club at one stage then?
  10. It makes you look like a joke. Devalues the club further in potential targets' eyes. But if you need a an experienced 'keeper, which they do, why not go for the best you can attain? The story might be a load of bollocks anyway, but if it's not all they did was sound out Casillas and his agent. It's not like they've released a statement saying: "WE'RE AFTER CASILLAS!" Because there is no way Real would ever sell Casillas for any sum of money, and there is no way Casillas would leave Real. A better idea would be to go for the best keeper who's not already in a top side in one of the top leagues. Ambitious, but also practical. Have you even read the article? If it's true (which it's probably not), it says that they offered his buy-out clause, so Real Madrid wouldn't have a say. I haven't. Should have considered that all Spanish players have buyout clauses because of the rules in their league. still applies though. It does indeed, should have really mentioned that. I do think your way is more logical, of course, but I honestly can't fault them for aiming high first of all after they contrived to land Robinho over the summer. I do think they'll shock one or two with the players they manage to get in January/next summer, though, simply because of the spending power they have and the fact they've already got the first piece of the puzzle. Regardless of the circumstance that led Robinho to City, you'd imagine he'd be something of a catalyst for some other big names to go there - maybe more the likes of Diego from Werder than Sneijder from Real, though.

  12. Ronaldinho. One of the biggest players in the world, taken from SkySports.com. Today.

  14. Where's the harm in trying if the money is available?
  15. It was a bit of a crime we didn't get both a LB and a RB in the summer, to be honest, let alone one or the other.
  16. We could do with some cover at full-back mind. I know we have centre halves who can play there but I'd rather have specialist players if you know what I mean. A good, up-and-coming RB would be ideal really. Obviously he needs to be capable enough to step in when needed and with the potential to be the full-time successor when Habib leaves/packs-in, though. Not much to ask...
  17. Probably not, but unfortunately that's not simply how a player's "worth" is calculated. He's the most well-known name in our squad which adds pennies straight away, all the people that matter (managers and team-mates) are bigging him up at every turn which will again strengthen his position, he's now the club captain which does the same and I'd be willing to bet he's still the biggest (or round abouts) seller of merchandise at the club, too, and the most valuable from an advertising perspective, easily. It could probably be argued that he is worth it overall, but of course he's not if you're simply talking performance-related pay. ADD: Who is though, these days, in our squad?
  18. Another tick for the Wise/Jiminez scouting system then and if the club are still behaving like 2nd raters he'll be off in a couple of years time I don't think you'll find it funny if it happens. I wouldn't, no, but I'm not laughing at the prospect of that am I?

    Maintenance Updates

The forum or the website itself? The website was still a bit topsy-turvy this morning but should be alright now. The forum shouldn't have been affected at all. Anyone else have issues?
