  1. Last thing both he and we needed to be honest. I bet he's even less nice to be around when he's not playing.

How the fuck is that "safe for work"?! Edited.
  3. We are going to get a serious battering here. Again.
  4. *Resists the temptation to do another "typical new board, cheaper option" joke* It's more than double the cost of the last one ( :-[), but at least there's someone English to be had on the other end of the phone No 500 Internal Server Errors yet for anyone, I take it??
  5. Appreciate all these reports lads, very helpful indeed to see what times we're crashing, etc. One thing that would help further would be checking how many members are on when we're going down, as I'm obviously not here all the time so can't see for myself. Cheers!
  6. Aye, spotted. I'll be on to the hosts tomorrow again to see about getting it remedied. It'll mean an increase in monthly cost, but it's a necessary evil unfortunately. We were always chancing it trying to get by on this package, but it was worth a go at least!
  7. I don't mind players giving the ball away when it's a difficult pass or they're trying to make something happen (except when it's Nicky Butt just dinking stuff over the top of the opposition centre halves, seriously has anybody seen that pass work?) but it's when players simply can't find someone over a 10-yard space with not much pressure on them that's unforgivable. Especially when it happens, happens again and keeps on happening.
  8. Take the case on & find out the answer. Off topic: I tried that chip shop on Mullen Road & they are very nice. The lass who works there is so friendly. Get in there son! Let's get Fugazi involved as well 'cos he's round our neck of the woods. They're a bit pricey like, but I reckon it's worth it. They do cod and haddock as well, which a lot of place don't these days, it's usually one or the other. I'm not back home til Christmas but will defo be making an effort to get some down my neck. Nowhere I've tried near me in Hull (and there's about 5 within a 10 minute walk) come close to that place. Making myself hungry :-[
  9. Shall I genuinely write him a letter? I fucking will Or I'll target the player who would have been there who's had the biggest fall from grace (i.e. will be the most delighted to receive something designed as fan-mail).
  10. I think this Shearer mystery needs solved, btw. Fuck NUSC, fuck protesting, I'm talking priorities here people. I'm going to take action and find out whether Alan Shearer did in fact out-trick David Ginola and Faustino Asprilla. I'll let people know how I get on.
  11. Watson always played with a bit of swagger though, didn't he? Shearer didn't. Ever. He was all business. Watson can basically play anywhere. He's my uncle's cousin apparently, which is exciting, though they can't be that close because I've never seen him at a family do. Both red haired, like.
  12. I couldn't lace any fuckers boots but I can do the chop, stepovers, over 300 kick-ups, the Cruyff turn, all kinds of tricks like you see on those Youtube vids. I've seen Alan Smith do a whole host of tricks in warm up again like you see on those Youtube vids so I'm sure Shearer could do them all too. The difference between him and your Tinos though is they could do them in an actual match under pressure or facing an opponent (that is what skill is btw, doing them in a match. Technique is a different thing altogether). It probably is bollocks but Shearer not being able to juggle the ball and do some tricks would be the bigger bollocks if you ask me. I think because of who is and and how good a striker he was people like to think the man could fly to the moon if he wanted to. I'd be very interested to know the truth, but I'm still pessimistic. Even in warm-ups and knock-abouts before a game you'd rarely see him doing anything out of the ordinary and I personally think he mastered his strengths because he was clever enough to do that, he mastered some techniques of the game. Tricks probably weren't one of them, though.
  13. As great as he was at a lot of things, one thing I wouldn't credit Shearer with is having exceptional technique and the ability to out-trick Asprilla and Ginola especially - two of the most technically gifted players I've ever seen in the flesh. I'd imagine it's an inside-joke, an urban legend or just a wind-up. Just from watching him play the hundreds of times like, I can't see it. Would be smashing if it was true!
  14. Source? HTT: He is not keen on tricks (if that is what flair is) that go nowhere. Legend has it & the source of the story was Tino via Gabriele Marcotti. Ginola & Tino were doing tricks & they asked Al to take part & he said no, other players egged him on, he took the pair on & was much better than both of them. He then chucked the ball on floor & said " I would do it if there was a point to it" walked off. Heard that story before. Utter bollocks I'd imagine.
  15. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/sub/TheManager/0,,10278~1379185,00.html = 9.35 minutes if you've got Newcastle World. "Looks, you know, like a player who could certainly improve us. Plays three or four positions and I like those sort of players, so we'll see where we go. I've gotta talk with Dennis and Tony about it because the last thing I want is for them to learn how I feel from TV."
  16. He'd probs be shit if he was here. Such is the state of the club. Keegan wanted him, didn't get him, dunno why. The opposite happened if I remember correctly. He came on trial and KK said 'no'. I've seen an interview with KK on Newcastle World where he said Zayatte "looks like a player who will improve us".

  18. Good to see Jonas getting a bit of the Vagina Dildo treatment, it shows the respect he already commands, but unlike back in 95/96 we don't really have the other players to step-up and make the most of the extra space that it undoubtedly presents them with. Hopefully JFK will cotton on ASAP and starting working around him being double-marked at every opportunity, but the fact he's chosen to sub him off in the past two games leads me to believe I may be pissing in the wind on this one.
  19. Arnie's a "Toon fan", isn't he? (Did I dream that he lived in Byker for a bit?) Get him involved man.
  20. He was okayish but no more than that, remember that was Wigan 2nd choice pairing (Zaki & Heskey would of killed us) & for most of the 2nd half him & Colo played against 1 striker & they found it hard going. I have seen him play a better at LB than he did CB yesterday, he is an improvement on Cacapa & Edgar. Is this him challenging Shambles? http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/45209000/jpg/_45209970_bramble_b282.jpg Looks like Zog to me :| Can't really tell.. It's Shola man, you bunch of racists.
