  1. Ah, that reminds me of GHoeber-X and Kluivert. What a cunt.
  2. 4th bottom with Chelsea (a) and Boro (a) next two games. If we're not bottom by the time Stoke come to SJP on December 6th I'll be amazed. It's not a kneejerk reaction if you ask me, it's a continual frustration that will go on until the club cogs get turning again. Everything gives the feeling of "ground to a halt" at the minute. The whole future of the club is up in arms, some of our big players are out of contract come summer, the performances are extremely patchy and we have unpopular characters from head-to-toe infesting the club (from the boardroom to the coaching staff to the players.) Attendances are dropping, it's fucking freezing and it's mid-winter... it's just a fucking horrible time to be a NUFC fan and people are letting that be known. Everyone needs an outlet and it's hard to be sensible/coherent when you're raging. When people stop caring how we do is when the shit really hits the fan.
  3. When we lose/do badly it just makes me want to watch other football less, really, doesn't affect how much I care about NUFC. I do see how it's a bit "numb" at the minute though, because we're in no mans land in all aspects of the club. It's probably good I'm not able to get to SJP at the minute because if I was I'd be blowing a gasket.
  4. Insane overstatement of his failings after a sensible opening line Dunno if you're on the wind-up or what, but that's some of the most exaggerated tripe I've read on here for a while, and it's not like your competition is scarce. Something definitely "off" about him though, much like many of our players, but I'm not sure if passing ability/technique is it.
  5. 4-3-3 or Geremi coming back in on the right and Jonas moving left, then?
  6. Just watching Kinnear's post-match interview on .co.uk (got the goals on if anyone's signed up) and fucking hell, he doesn't half talk some bollocks.
  7. One thing you always believed under KK was that if he had his full-strength 11 out on the field, we'd be a match for anybody and even without them you were still left hopeful. As it stands, we are Taylor and Viduka away (IMO) from being able to select our strongest 18-man squad (Given, Beye, Taylor, Coloccini, N'Zogbia, Barton, Butt, Gutierrez, Owen, Martins, Viduka, Harper, Bassong, Enrique, Geremi, Guthrie, Duff, Ameobi) and we're still performing atrociously at times. (Smith's omission needs no explanation and Xisco/Gonzalez are still pretty much an unknown quantity, Cacapa played himself out of the reckoning long ago.) So, in my opinion, we have 16 of our "best" 18 available to us and fully fit, right now, with Taylor expected back by Chelsea and Viduka apparently within a month. There really is no fucking excuse for what we saw today, whereas in the past the likes of Souness and Roeder could quite easily point to injuries... there's just no direction or flair or any form of cohesion at all and it's just not good enough, interim manager or no interim manager. What the fuck are they doing Monday-Friday?
  8. Honestly, we have devolved since KK's exit into a team with no core beliefs or style, no real tactical outline (as far as I can tell) and no confidence. These players can still obviously play, we've even seen the proof recently against WBA and Aston Villa, but there's no rhythm or reason to any of it, it's very much gone back to how it was under Souness and Roeder in that we've become an unpredictable mess, despite fielding pretty much the same team every game this time around (certainly recently). I understand the role that circumstances have played in everthing (I'm talking the sale stuff here), but I still find it hard to excuse a team of footballers who get paid as much as they do and a coaching staff/manager who get paid as much as they do for such a ragtag appearance to the whole outfit.
  9. N'Zogbia has to start getting some minutes. I know he's frustrating but he's quick and he can make stuff happen, no matter how inconsistent people may claim him to be. Also, I appreciate Duff hasn't been down at his usual level (for us) recently, but I'd still love to see Charlie in there ahead of him, simply because he offers more of a threat. For all Duff's huff and puff (have some of that rhyming, brap) he just doesn't commit defenders or go past people, or do anything with any pace and directness... he's not completely finished, obviously, but he's a pale shadow of his former self (not that this is anything people don't already know.) N'Zogbia will lose the ball, aye, but fucking hell man. I'd rather see him lose the ball 4 times out of 5 and see him do what he did for Martins today on the 5th try than see Damien Duff slow the pace down and play it backwards, or run into a hole and have to give an easy ball... Having N'Zogbia and Gutierrez on the flanks would scare the shit out of a lot of teams in this league because nobody likes defending against players who are quick and direct and who will just keep coming and coming and coming. It'll free up more space in the middle for the likes of Barton to get on the ball and play a bit and should allow us to bring the fullbacks into the game further up the pitch (which we just simply don't do like the better teams in the league.) Also, I do get the feeling that they'd interchange at least as well if not better than the current pair do. I know N'Zogbia on the right is something we've never really seen, but if he was given the ball in an area where he could attack INSIDE of a full-back and do what Gutierrez does best from the left, he's got a better shot than both Duff and Jonas and could offer another option for a goal. At the minute we're not getting much from out wide at all and I find myself yearning for a bit of Keegan-esque 4-3-3 action, especially seeing how both Martins AND Owen simply have to play.
  10. Was more posting it to keep everyone up to speed mate!
  11. Owen scored a goal, N'Zogbia set the other up. I cannot fault the subs today, personally.
  12. To be expected in the early days, unfortunately. These first few weeks are basically a test-drive. The scope to upgrade the specification is there if needs be, but we're first trying to fix things manually - progress is definitely being made when you look at the improvements in search performance and general site speed, etc.
  13. Now near 250. I phoned the hosting company at half-time and they claimed that the problem wasn't on their end, although I asked them to open a ticket and have the technical support blokes look at it to see if it's just a case of us needing more RAM or something. Will keep people updated as to what we'll be doing. The only way we can find out what we need/what we need to improve is during times like those when it's at it's busiest. I've saved some statistics from today which will hopefully help us towards the final goal.
  14. Aye, first real test for the server, was to be expected really. Seems to have been improving though as we were falling over at 150 users online, then made it to 180, now past 200...
  15. The hysterical ninnies have gone quiet like. I'm not a JFK fan by any stretch, but some of this thread is plain embarrassing.
  16. They've got no defenders on the bench, so I guess Taylor moves to RB, Figueroa to LB, and Kapo will drop in to left midfield - probably with Kilbane coming on to tighten up for them. Never a red, but Bramble should just have been sent off so it's swings and roundabouts.
