It's like when we saved Burnley from relegation all over again.

Don't think it's an issue now, but might well be in the future ala Manchester City. We've currently got 15 players in the first team squad that are homegrown (country), but only three are homegrown (club). You need four homegrown (club) and a further four that are homegrown (country) to be able to name a full 25-man European squad. Otherwise, you need to name a smaller squad.

Is it? Really? It's fucking bollocks, man.

ASM, Gordon, Isak, Wilson, Almirón, and Murphy is starting to look like the forward pool of a proper, proper club. One of those is not like the others, but would be fine as an emergency option, should the makeup of the squad allow it. Diaby or similar in the summer and we're laughing.

£3M more than Gibbs-White? Dunno, like.

Congratulations on coming out of the coma Gaz.

Interesting to see if Dyche has done a bit of a Howe in his time away. As industrial as his football is/was, he's far from a stupid bloke. He'll surely know he has to evolve given the way the game's going and if he wants to succeed at a club like Everton.

Getting his excuses in early, you love to see it.

"that income is more than £120 per week after deduction of tax and national insurance (or equivalent where the offender is self-employed)" Good spot, Nut, would mean he's on ~£80k per week if that's right^.

Best friends with Jordan Pickford. Disgusting.

Still hoping for three, but with Shelvey due back in a little over a week and Howe being adamant that Anderson wasn't going out on loan in a previous press conference, I'm really not sure if we'll get the CM we're all hoping for. Would be surprised with fewer than two.

Love this, like . "gall". That's the perfect word for it, Ben. The fucking gall.

It doesn't explain why the other two were either, given they're not the PIF

Does this not all just end with Bielsa being appointed, having a heart-to-heart with Gordon as one of his first orders of business, and Gordon being key to them (sadly) staying up again? Given he was apparently worried about their lack of pace, Gordon would surely be the last player he'd want to lose? On the other side of the coin, the sooner Bielsa's in the better as either (a) he agrees to sell Gordon to raise funds to get in multiple players he actually wants or (b) he persuades him to stay and we have time to get another target signed.

Oh no, definitely not. "Here to compete", etc.
