The way he gets the team to react in adversity is really noteworthy. Looking forward to the next big test against PSG - definitely passed the last one at Milan.

Can I bring you some more spades?

Calling this out for the shite that it is. Times have moved on - a reason they may be reluctant to play is because comments like these remain acceptable “jokes” or because of concern of being perved on while doing their jobs. Please don’t do it and remember that there are multiple female posters on the forum.

Interesting - as in the genuine mathematical chances of a 50/50 landing the same way 12 times in a row is 0.02? How does that work mathematically? Sorry to turn a football thread into a maths chat... -

But it doesn’t change that the odds of each flip remain 50/50. It is certainly unlikely to have 12 of the same outcome in a row, but it’s still just a series of 50/50 chances. It’s also a weak comparison statistically because there are other multiple balls at play, actually making the odds even greater, which at the same time undermines my argument totally so I’ll stop typing -

That’s misleading. It’s 50/50 each time (in theory) - the preceding draws don’t factor into the actual probability. -
Except Murphy

Good to avoid Liverpool and arsenal, and they haven’t started the season very impressively, but still an absolute cunt’s trick of a draw yet again. -

I’m not normally drawn to conspiracy but to have these starts in the PL, CL and CC at the same time is stretching credibility. -
He really could have

What a magnificent team performance that second half was. Bravo.
-
I think people have just said he hasn’t been playing very well, which he hasn’t apart from villa and half 2 here
-
Livramento is one of the best standing tacklers I’ve ever seen.

That beef tackle from dummett is one of history’s greatest moments

Genuinely don’t get the hatred for Goodman. He’s fine and is also a really nice person.

Foden is such a vile cheat

Brilliant pass by Tonali there.
-
That should be a red card.

Yeh I’d agree - I didn’t think he was the worst player for us in the first half but he didn’t do his cause any favours.
-
Wish we’d kept Botman on the bench to bring on when haaland comes on
-
@Rodwill you add that the few things Murphy has done well for us pls?
-
I agree with your sentiment but I don’t think stating that he’s playing poorly is the same as a write-off. He doesn’t yet look like he belongs - he’s the big name signing so scrutiny inevitable. It doesn’t help that I think his natural body language is languid.

I was at the Chelsea match and the match in phila where he played, and now this. Based on that sample - which you are right to point out is too small to reach a meaningful conclusion - I don’t yet see a player that I rate.
