Forest 5. Aw cock

Barnsley winning. Nice
-
I'd take 2-0 to us in every game thanks

Not if you requests a personal hearing which can take up to 10 days i think. Thought that may only be for violent coduct. Maybe he should have smacked that twat of a ref on the way off.....
-
Doubtful but even then we might have had someone experienced to fill in that position (or a fit Simpson).
-
Why did we not appear Raylors's red card. Surely that appeal would not have been until after Wednesday at least buying us a week?
-
My money would be on then moving that now regardless of waiting to see if there is a replay. The first game was announced before they beat Liverpool and seemed hasty then based only on our possible involvement in the Cup. With the following midweek free it makes far more sence to move to then, though Reading also now have their game against Derby from 5th round day to move.

.com have it spot on. Certainly the worst refereeing since Gerald Ashby (RIH?) knocked us out of the League Cup at Highbury. At the end of the game not one of our players shook hands with any of the officials while CH marched onto the field to confront him for some time. I commented at the time that he'd shown a different side as you don't expect him to do that.
-
Its irrelevant how bad we were in the context of the decisions as we were right back in the game and then the ref cocked up royally again. This isn't hiding our own inadequacies as we weren't allowed to contest this game fairly. I'd have been interesting to see how many penalties this 'influenced' Ref would have given us on Monday. Him and his linesman on the main stand side were a disgrace. In this instance they cost us the game regardless of how bad we played 1st half.

That fucking prick today was the worst i've seen since Gerald Ashby in the league cup a t Arsenal. Referees can make bad decisions but when the are inconsistent they can only look like they're cheating. Regardless of whether he thought Shola was fouled he should have stopped the game as he was injured because that's what he did all afternoon before and after.
-
Watford scored against us like this a few years ago (possibly 1999) seemingly because the linesman didn't know this rule either. Dabizas got our equalizer. They even showed it on their big screen IIRC which didn't help the situation a lot.

Its whether they will rearrange earlier if either team makes the 5th round or wait until after the 5th round games (13th Feb) to decide. Our worse case would be making the 5th round, which pospones the Swansea game, and then having a 5th round replay as that'd bump the Reading game. The Swansea games would probably have filled the free slot and no idea where that'd leave Reading again. -

Why didn't they just put it in for the following week when there would have been no possible conflicts. Do Reading have other games to catch up on. Can't see going down to Reading on the Tuesday and then down again for Watford on the Saturday, having probably been to Swansea 10 days earlier. -
Being one of the few who actually went to the match tonight, does anyone know if Big Nose Thompson was on SS tonight or did they not have a panel?

An rumours on when this might get played? Looking at the fixtures there are not many weeks when there is a free midweek. Can't imagine them playing on 4th round day if both clubs get knocked out as its fairly short notice. Beyond that the 2nd Feb is free but that week is reserved for Cup replays and it'd have to be on the Tuesday as we have Cardiff on the Friday. Next free spot is the 24th Feb but again this is a cup replay week. I'm hoping for the following midweek, which is completely free, as it's only a couple of days after Watford and could stay down there for a few days. -
They've not mentioned it (from what i've heard) probably as they'd be accused of ridiculing him when he's traumatised.

Has anyone else just seen the interview with Adebayor on SSN with him wearing an Arsenal T-shirt?
-
He means he's not a Joey Barton or a Lee Bowyer. If he has that reputation he'd have been off

I was thinking that myself. Good on Reading. Stopped any travelling down. They'd have been better clearing the streets and getting the game on. TBF they'll be gutted as the rearranged game with get nowhere near as big a crowd unless they can find a Saturday for it. -

If by 'softie' you mean in the south, it's interesting to note that the only two confirmed games to be postponed in the championship so far are Preston and Sheffield Weds. The fact that Reading are the only 'Softie' region team playing at home outside London this weekend in the Championship might be something to do with it. On the other hand seeing as i never mentioned the Championship, Charlton, Brighton, Bristol Rovers, Gillingham, Yeovil, Southampton, MK Dons, Cheltenham and Torquay have all called of games in English football. -

Most of the other games in the 'Softie' region are off so this'd be no suprise. Now do i use the tickets and spend a weekend in London but use a days holiday or not bother and save the drinking money but waste the train money. -
While the 1985 version was very memorable for the hat-trick and double sending off i think that the song dates back a few more years to 1980 when we also beat them 3-1 on NYD.

The Clap Clap song - Genius. For my early years this one of those distinct match day memories. I'd forgotten all about it until a match at Leicester in the early 2000s when i heard 2 lads singing "going on the drink, drink, drink" to the same tune. And the matching bands and Police dog demonstrations certainly continued in the thid to late 80s.
