    Season Tickets

The move to Leazes Level 4 to me seems like a great suggestion. The whole problem with a singing corner is that is a corner. Having a whole end would be far better. If the 3000 from the corner spread themselves a little bit thinner across the leazes end from the L4 corner to the far side it can only help the atmosphere as a whole. I sit in the L4 corner and there are plenty of us who try to get something going on the back of singing coming from upstairs but there just aren't enough who consistently join in. The whole standing bit though is only going get in the way of getting anything to happen. It is in breach of the clubs safety certificate and no-one in authority can be seen to support it. Therefore why not just talk about the positive element of this which is to get the atmosphere going not the part which is only going to antagonise and cause conflct

    Season Tickets

Isn't it a Premier League rule that 10% goes to away fans? We've been given special dispensation in the past because we had so many season ticket holders, but that's not the case anymore. I'm sure they'll still look to sell extra tickets to home fans if the away team doesn't want all their tickets, but the long years of sell-out St James's every week - and a waiting list for season tickets - seem to have went the same way as ambition and communicating honestly with the fans. Not correct. PL rule is 3000 or 10% whichever is smaller. Man Utd would be offering 7500 and only ever do that for Cup games on a reciprocal arrangement if there is a replay. The issue i have is with extending this section is for the games when the away clubs sell out generally is when there is a full / fuller home attendance like the recent games against Citeh, Spuds and the Arse. Therefore what is the point? Only thing is can see here is that under PL rules you can't charge fans more for similar accommodation. In our case there could be some justification in saying away section is same as the L7 singing section but to date the prices have been different across adult tickets. However the family and young sections can be described as niche so this rule would not apply. Oh and i went to school with Simon Esland and he's a sound las but imagine this is well out of his hands.
  5. Sky couldn't even get the clock in the bottom corner that's been going all month to be accurate.
  6. What next? 22:33 David Craig: My sources are saying there is late activity at Newcastle and they have made a sensational late offer for Messi 22:34 Jim White: Sesnational ...... 22:35 Jim White: Well moments ago we brought you news of amazing news from Newcastle. Well we've been on the phone to Pep Guardiola himself and he said confirmed Newcastle has made a £12m bid for Messi but told them to Fuck Off 22:36 David Craig: You're sources are bang on. He did say fuck off. Why do we watch this shite?
  7. Whoever might (and its unlikely) come in now will be a scapegoat like Xisco became. They'll always be the player who selling Carroll paid for.
  8. The little prick has just been on Radio5 too. Phone didn't work then seemed to have to ask his dad for the right answer. Went to training ground and found out Harper wasn't there. Got his phone rumber. Chappers reminded him why fences weren't there and said it was something about hillsborough where people died. Steve Claridge sounded like he would have happily killed him.
  9. The Entertainer (aka the snooker music)
  10. Well then. It's 4am in Hong Kong and i've just trawled the Island to find a bar that's showing the match. Got evicted at half time after refusing to pay a 16 quid bar tab, for 2 drinks, and managed to find another pub for the 2nd half. Boys... sometimes you amaze me.,\\Howay the Toon.
  11. WTF has us sacking Hughton got to do with this blinky twat. On SSN news just now saying its terrible. Oh so how did you get your last job then Harry? And the one before that....... Shut the fuck up.
  12. Was that the Barca fans singing .... "Si eres Sunderland en el encubrimiento" (ish)

    Diving

As soon as Drogba turned to the ref today to appeal, it moved from him falling over to diving. Stop game. Book him.
  14. Totally agree, but to an extent people have a responsibility , e.g Winter Tyres on cars. Have made this point already today. It was my choice to drive down the A1 today from Edinburgh when it was the old 'old make journey if completely necessary' brollocks and tomorrow if the pitch is playable it should be my choice if i want to go to the game. Not someone telling me i shouldn't go out. If you don't want to go out don't but don't speak for me in saying its unsafe.
  15. Isn't Sibon their 'marquee' player or whatever they're know as, basically the Beckham equivalent that is allowed to break the salary cap?
  16. Todays game was lost because Blackburn stopped us playing simple as that. However Blackburn were allowed to stop us playing through various dubious practices. Its also no coincidence, and a massive shame, that tonights referee was the same guy who let Stoke get away with the same stuff. What i'm talking about is the late tackles as the ball is being played, stopping the flow of the game, shirt pulling, fouls on the keeper etc. No way would a more experienced / senior / better referee let them get away with it so often. What we need to start doing is playing them at their own game, not in the fouls but making sure the referee sees and hears about them. Its what the 'big' clubs do and frankly what b****** Rovers did all night. We as a team are simply too honest about staying on our feet instead of making the most off fouls. A couple of times tonight stood out, one where Jonas had to ride two foul tackles and ultimately ran out of room caused by losing the flow of the run and then from Colo where he was shoved and got booked himself. Now if Jonas goes to ground we'll get a free kick and eventually these kind of fouls will mount up as will yellow cards stopping them playing like that. From the Colo example if he's shoved with raised hands, go down. Look what Pedersen did with Barton. For f***s sake go to ground if you get fouled and put the pressure on the ref to make decisions. As we've seen all season you get nothing unless you hit the deck.
  17. f***ing hell, I dunno how you can take the piss out of Andy Cole's time here even in the slightest like. He couldn't head the ball. FACT. The rest of his striking game more than made up for it. And he became a twat after his cup final sing-song so nothing i said was incorrect.
  18. Wonder how Andy Twat will relate to Carroll's heading ability seeing as he had none whatsoever.
  19. Benchmark of this will be if they show the Rangers overhead kick. Needless to say they'll not be highlighting Fabregas's petulance.
