Shit match from Finland. But we were singing in our end for 30 mins after the game had finishes and then the Finnish players came back out to sing with us. Brilliant night regardless of any results and it keeps on going.

St Petersburgh has been brilliant and absolutely fucking mental. Maybe partly to do with the fact its awesome just to travel again but my god what a week.

Arrived yesterday. St Petersburg seems lovely. It’s weird not a lot of people from Finland travel here even though its like a 3 hour train trip normally. Now the trains arent running so had to come by car. Off to the Finland fan bar to get things started next!

Best option would've been to end it in a 0-0 draw and move on. I guess there are some rules saying its not allowed but.....

We did a pretty good job of keeping them out from dangerous positions though. Their xG was 2.05 and with 0,8 of that coming from that nonsense penalty. Not bad considering all the possession.

I wasn't there. Going to the next two matches. Dont really know what to think. It doesnt feel like we just won our first game at a major tournament. Phew. Pretty fucking emotional day. I've been on constant goosebumbs and some tears from the moment I woke up today. Just going through all the videos, highlights and songs for the 100th time. I've been going to our games from a young kid with my dad and thought for years this day wouldn't come during his lifetime or mine. So many years of shit, some years of almosts and a loooot of hurt. Our football team has been like a laughing stock in Finland for years and always compared to icehockey and how well they're doing. Now finally it's our time to be the center of attention and national pride. I can say without any doubt that the day we qualified was the best day of my life so far. I dont think today or the matches next week when I'll be at the stadium will quite match that but it'll be damn close. OI SUOMI ON!
