In a way, 10 years from now, when they hate football, when they've become so accustomed to rooting for Palace to lose and willing their own team not to score that the two sets of fans will have some kind of comraderie, but the bigger and more prevalent part of me wants them to suffer like this forever.

Draw or narrow loss.

A spirited Palace loss is eminently preferable to them being tanked. Hopefully the ref denies a clear penalty and they can unite against the ref.
