Have they self-referred after spending £14bn this window?

What makes you so sure? My view is: A) I don't think Burn is that good of an actor. B) I don't think that Burn is disingenuous enough to call him a mate.

Tough moment for those who lambasted Gordon.
-
You've got to have Nobby in. Also gives the team set pieces, end product and crosses for Shearer. Surprisingly industrious and tough for a smaller framed guy too.

Sounds like reintegration would have been a right ballache

Big Yorkie fan but I disagree. I'm really disappointed. I can't remember an occurrence of player-power being exercised successfully in this sport in such a big way until now. It sets a horrible precedent and you can't put the genie back in the bottle. He had three years on his contract! If I'm Chelsea or Man City, I'm tapping up Sandro and Tino immediately. Even if I have no need or intention to buy them. Even the possibility to unsettled them is low-risk, high-reward. Any joy we get from uncovering a future gem, you'll have this in your mind as the endgame. I reckon more players than fans will care to admit would down tools if you dangle triple wages in their faces and they know it works. Especially when it's normalised when all non-NUFC fans begin to brush this all under the carpet when Isak starts scoring on special European nights at Anfield. Forget Isak, this is a really dark road. We had a chance to show this shit won't work.

I can't work out who the final boss is for the bad guys: Liverpool or Chelsea I think it might be Chelsea you know

Chelsea are gonna win the league aren't they

He finally got minutes and I think (hope?) he'll rewatch the match tape and reflect on how he's let himself down a bit, and learn from it.
-
Positive note: remain glad we didn't panic-buy DCL, even as just an emergency body up front. Shocking. Felt so much safer about a point when he came on.
-
Tbf, if you have the ball is it an intensity issue? I think there was a lack of confidence, quality and bravery to take defenders on. Tino did well a few times, Elanga did once or twice. That's it. Trippier, Murphy and Barnes were non-entities on the wings. Although Murphy got a few shots away to his credit - but that's about all he can do in this situation given his skillset, low-probability shots.

No need to overreact. It's an away point. Promoted team at home in the first few weeks in less than prime conditions. Not a great showing mind you, with a few very poor individual performances sprinkled in. Hopefully Howe is learning more about his new squad.
-
He's got the horrible problem of being both too physical and not physical enough based on today's showing.
-
Hall should do better from there.
-
If we had a cup final tomorrow, and we needed our best XI, Elanga has already made a decent case for being on the team sheet.
-
Osula showed some nice close control to get space to get his his shot away, then snatched. A pity.
-
Would be nice to have a bit of width on the right. Get Hall on and switch wor Tino.
-
Lot of creative responsibility on Tino's plate that half. Too much. Nice to have some good bench options. This feels like a normal teething issue of rotating the squad. Can't be swashbuckling all the time. Not yet anyway. Reckon Schar has the right idea. Buy more lottery tickets.

Regardless of outcome, I applaud Howe's commitment to rotating and using the squad.
