Have to say, they didn't win, but it was disappointing to see Chelsea not look like the gutless team I've become accustomed to over the last few years. A bit more tenacity and bite against a physical Palace side.

Mateta is class. Eze has Stevie-G-itis. Always trying Hollywood shit and failing 90% of the time.

Guehi gets skinned by right wingers every time I see him

Another routine win vs Liverpool and we'll be above them.

Half my bench boost not playing. Always next year.

Very encouraging IMO. Fits into the ethos of a Howe team as you'd expect.

It's a long season. We battered them first game of the season not so long ago and they went on to have a cracking season.

Would have liked to see more Osula. His left-footed shot was bending in.

Really good point away from home, against a team who can be supremely thorny.

"I've had a great relationship with him, you need that partnership with every player. I have to work really closely with the player for his benefit, to try and improve them. I always want to be there for him. "I don't think Isak would have done as well without that, his team mates, the supporters - he recognises that, he's an intelligent person." This sounds quite conciliatory in tone IMO. Or the beginning of conciliatory at least.

Read that piece on him the BBC just now, what a dude. Incredible ambassador and figurehead for the club.
-
They've put him down as Virgil. Automatic nonce. A bit like 'Stevie'.

£40m for a player who doesn't strike me as an immediate threat to the first XI feels instinctively wild. But it's the market we're in I suppose.

Must have been paranoid as fuck doing business with AC Milan again

That's actually pretty good tbh.
