How many touches of the ball has Cisse had?
-
What's the 'TP' on Tony Pulis' coat stand for? (Bit bored). Total prick? Tosspot? Twatty person?
-
Tiote should take the corners: Advantage #1 - he can't shoot if the ball is headed out to the edge of the opposition box Advantage #2 - he's less likely to be in a position to pick up a yellow card when the opposition inevitably counter-attack Advantage #3 - he has a decent deliver from time to time!

I've got this real worry that playing under Pardew will coach all the movement out of him gradually. Cajun is going to jump all over this I've seen no evidence of Pardew being able to create/encourage good attacking football/movement. Whether his football ethos is horrible enough to erode existing attacking movement/proclivities... well, I'll just say that I fucking hope not, but that it would not surprise me! Bit early to say though.

Sissoko hasn't been bad mind you, just a little flat. Happens to everyone from time to time.
-
Tiote has been much better than Sissoko today. True. Sissoko has played a helluva lot of football lately in his defence. Would consider bringing him off (pace and power) for some more guile and craft in Marv personally.
-
Not a bad half. Clearly demonstrated we're the better side against an absolutely minging football outfit, without really testing Begovic sufficiently. No real incision or guile in the final third, a bit lazy in fact. Just trying to get the ball in the box and hope something falls our way, rather than trying to pull their defenders away or stretch them. As ever with Stoke, the trick is to get behind their full-backs, not cross/clip the ball in to the box from in front of them. Not too frustrated. An early second half goal would be mint, but a 0-0 is entirely fathomable also.

That's Pulis' post-match interview sorted then.
-
If at first you don't get a bite, try try try again...
-
Cisse not involved much yet, but we're doing alright
-
Good ball from Tiote, that.
-
Low driven crosses when we get into wide areas please (a la Debuchy, earlier).
-
Gouffran is a terrier man. Love the guy.
-
This should be a really fun game. For us.
-
Nice by Debuchy. Trying something different.

More than enough there to win at a canter.
-
If I had to generalise, then yes, I'd probably characterise myself as a risk averse gambler (over the course of my betting 'career', anyway) - it tends to provide me solid enough returns, with the occasional spectacular win. Haven't bet so much this season though.
-
Is that a question or a declarative statement, mate? Think it'd be a crying shame to get zero profit off a decent accy, so if you get that far into the slip, makes sense to ensure you walk away with something. Suppose it all depends on the weight of the hedge. I'm only going to put 70 or thereabouts against the -1 anyway. Little bit frustrating though, as recently my stakes have been £50, and they've won so no idea what compelled me to reduce my stake. Perhaps I thought this one was a bit more adventurous/less worthy of a higher stake.
-
Cheers I was looking into Stoke +2 but I suppose betting against Newcastle -1 might have the same/better odds. Might go to Betfair to place the hedge as they seem to have the best prices on singles in my experience.
-
Returns £890 off a tenner. What's the best price hedge, people? Thanks in advance.

Wigan are unbelievable when they hit top gear. Actually unbelievable. I would genuinely not be surprised to see them rip through Barcelona with a swashbuckling counter-attacking virtuoso display. ... Well, if they were ever to play Barcelona, I mean.
-
Wigan hitting their Champions League form in all competitions

Was thinking just the same. Even if Cisse wasn't ill, I wouldn't mind seeing Gouffran as an out and out forward.
