  1. The chump I'm facing in H2H has Sturridge as captain and Michu as vice, so hoping Sturridge comes on for the last five minutes against Swansea and gets sent off for scoring an own goal.
  2. Everton have Heitinga, Naismith, Anichebe and Neville getting a fair few games. Spurs have Defoe and a man who now has a contract up front. Not convinced you need a world-beating 22 to challenge IMO.
  3. Strength of the league is piss poor. Top one for me.
  4. I'm such a dick: instead of admiring how lovely they are (and that they are!) I was looking for mistakes on first view of those Top stuff mate.
  5. Getting embarrassing now. Desperate to get domestic players in there. Hart making the bench is the most egregious of the above.
  6. Heitinga comes in for Distin. Ouch.
  7. 'Absolutely convinced' would be arrogant I think, but it's not unreasonable to look up instead of down. I'm not asking for Villa to beat Everton/Liverpool/Swansea over here either. West Ham are a team we should be looking to move above in the next few weeks. It's one of my few glimpses of positivity Ironically, Pardew would be probably be looking for Villa to lose
  8. I'm looking up, not down now. G'wan Villa!
  9. Not in that style. The same white text which you use for goalscorer and minute might be decent. [/iMO] Also would you do it as the final score, or the score when the goal was scored?
  10. The demarcation of dotted line for off-the-ball movement and dashed line for running with the ball (and now, yellow for celebration) is a good system too
  11. May I suggest a 'greyed out' ball at the top of the arc over Hendry's head too?
  12. Gambling on no injuries to other key players in the next fortnight, I've sold Suarez at what I assume will be his peak price for Papiss Cisse - who I fancy to improve in the next couple of games against some lesser opposition. Hopefully he'll go on a similar run to the second half of last season Need to make up ground on some players in my league. All have same/similar teams at this stage of the season. Need to start taking some risks

    Papiss Cissé

His shooting efficiency at the tail-end last year was an anomoly. The truth sits somewhere inbetween, and in Germany he was usually near the top of the said shooting efficiency charts. The greatest indicator of an in-form striker isn't necessarily physical one. Cisse's movement off-the-ball still looks pretty sharp. The snapping at chances is a signal of a striker who has lost his awareness of space around him (how close defenders actually are). This internal compass is off centre, and when this compass is onsong they're acutely aware of that little bit of extra time they have to pull the trigger. It might just be a few frames, in real time and it's a fine line, however it's the difference between snapping at chance & actually taking a touch (to get balanced), or getting his centre of gravity/body positioning/weight transferance just right when hitting a first-time shot. Cisse has spent too much time this season isolated, back-to-goal, often forced into physical contests (for 50/50 balls, at best) with big athletic PL centrehalves. The consequence of this: his strikers' internal compass (awareness of space) is way off centre atm. I know he's found his way on to the scoresheets recently, but he still has the look of a striker who is hearing footsteps, and looks rushed in front of goal as a result. Cracking post Chibas
  14. Is that the one with the knock on from Shearer, cross field ball by Robert, dummied by Shearer and then one touch and a goal from the edge of the area by Solano? I always forget who that was against. I love that goal. Yup, that's the one in my head. I think it was Brum. Not sure how Pixel Replay would illustrate dummies though.
  15. Love the HBA one. I think those type of long dribbles/mazy runs/intricate passing moves probably work better than screamers IMO. For example, instead of Tiote's screamer, I'd probably prefer our breakaway goal last year vs WBA with HatemDembaDemba. Think that would translate a bit better. Requests are requests though so by all means make/post the screamers Solano vs Birmingham (IIRC!) is a decent shout too.
  16. If anything, I thought Cabaye was probably the clumsier of the two towards the end of the match - leaving his foot in and giving away free-kicks. Maybe a bit leggy/frustrated
  17. Come off it. First things he did were to play a quick incisive pass to Sissoko to lead to a half chance, then a fantastic cross field ball just after that. Plus lots of good tackling and pressing. I can only remember one sloppy piece of play when the game was ridiculously stretched in added time, he's just on another level talent wise to Perch. I think saying Perch cowers is ridiculously harsh though. I don't think he does at all, I just don't think he's very talented (that's talking technically, physically and on-pitch intelligence). His commitment is absolutely fine. Agree with Sewelly's assessment of his cameo (although my video feed deteriorated towards the end of the match). Feel like I'm watching a different game to other people sometimes when I read the forum I really wanted him to start today because he has historically been really good at stymieing Bale. Other players seem to duck out of confronting Bale when he's running at them full pelt, but Tiote stands up to him pretty well. The game was insanely stretched/a mess at the end from what I saw though - so maybe people saw weaknesses/bad points there.
  18. Oh, this isn't to supplement/alter the current league table's point scoring system btw. This is just a new league because our league finish looks like it'll be as competitive as the Premiership at present. I know what you mean about getting 11/12 points, but that's why the game from which I've nicked this idea is called Arrogance - and to catch folk who are ahead of you, you need to wager more etc - just a wee experiment anyway. If it's shit(/too much effort for me/has low participation), I'll can it
