Jonas was especially shambolic. Miss him carrying Taylor for large chunks of the match then? Exactly. Jonas' work rate was immense. Fantastic shift defensively, covering for Raylor and relieving pressure on the defence by bringing the ball out. Shocked if you really believe Jonas was "shambolic". A very eventful match, lots of talking points, but one thing I'm desperate not to get swept under the carpet or lost in the ether is was his substitutes and bench selection. HOW THE FUCK IS LOVENKRANDS ON THE BENCH AHEAD OF VUCKIC.

Talking about the one on Sagna? If so, wut. No, I know which one you mean - that one was a nothing one. The one I refer to wasn't replayed, it was just off the ball Taylor being Taylor. Must say, he had some outstanding moments where he really surprised me. He also did a very strange backpass at one point which seemed to invite a lot of pressure on Krul from a nothing situation. A very strange player.

Oh and I'd like to reserve a facepalm for Steven Taylor and his idiotic attempt to beat two Arsenal midfielders on 26 minutes. No doubt he'll now a score a goal and all will be forgotten.

Given our shambolic pre-season, and how confidently Arsenal started, very pleased with that first half. Colo was great. Our attacking tactics were a little non-existent, but not disconsolate about it. Still feel like Arsenal are there for the taking if we try and a bit more patiently when going forward instead of hitting terrible killer balls to Ba and Shola. Maybe an extra man in midfield might be useful.

I'd be gutted if I didn't make the bench with the pre-season Vuckic just had. Fucking Lovenkrands.
