  1. Berbatov. Fat Sam's fat ass is behind 1-0.
  2. Wilshere is a fantastic prospect. Should build their future around him.
  3. Still optimistic about a) the match going ahead b) a tight victory but now somewhat concerned as I'm unsure what kind of match fitness Taylor has.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/9233851.stm Decent audio interview near the bottom of the article.
  5. Yup, and while it's hardly our reserves playing one another, the last time our reserves played one another what happened Furthermore, you're forgetting one important thing (which I say only half-tongue in cheek given his importance to our midfield and defence):
  6. Don't understand the (extra?) pessimism - contrary to that wounded animal cliche the best time to face a side like Chelsea is when they're losing/scraping wins to Zilina, with Essien out, Drogba in maybe the worst form of his Chelsea career(/"injured"), not thrashing everyone 6-0 left, right and centre and Ferreira getting games at centre-back!
  7. Why on earth did they televise this game?! Please not because of some misguided "Battle of Britain" selling point
  8. Chelsea 3 defeats in a row. Yeah, right. Chelsea losing at home to Sunderland. Yeah, right. Arsenal losing at home to West Brom. Yeah, right. Etc.
  9. Hoof? Yeah for a long while there. Almost comedic.
  10. Ball hasn't touched the ground for about ten minutes.
  11. Mentioned Harry Redknapp's comments about Spurs being title challengers, then said Sunderland were probably a little more deserving having beaten Chelsea so convincingly last weekend and having the chance to leapfrog Spurs tonight. They just 'the England international' when Henderson received the ball too. Technically true but you have to laugh, really.
  12. Did they really just intimate (even tongue-in-cheek) that Sunderland could be title challengers? Commentators being fickle is hilarious.
  13. I'm bored (how most of my bets start!) and relatively confident of an Everton win.
  14. Comfortable win for Everton tonight. 0-2 - Coleman & Pienaar
