  1. I'm wondering if this thread feels so saturnine because it's Newcastle playing at Anfield or if people just really rate Liverpool. Can't recall the Liverpool side getting too much credit for having quality over the park, so I'm assuming it's the former!
  2. Feels massive. (Probably isn't). Good performance followed by poor performance followed by... Anfield. Obvious statement but I really hope we don't get twatted like Brum today.
  3. One really big positive for me today. Obviously still got work to do and he has to demonstrate good decision-making more consistently, but good to see he's learning and improving.
  4. Loven Krul Jonas Ireland Simpson The rest were patchy or shite. Nolan didn't look fit throughout. Pardew used (and didn't use) substitutes poorly. Blackpool really wanted something from this game. You could tell how little we have to play for this season. Another game which adds to my list of games of why Pardew worries me - where was the desire today?
  5. What a shite game. 4 points off us this season. Hope they don't stay up.
  6. Jose, Shola and Colo have been very poor in particular. Need a splash of cold water. Krul has been brilliant. Hope we deal with defending set pieces better next half. That was kamikaze stuff.
  7. Wanker (nah, just didn't see the thread previously )
  8. On the back of Brighton's promotion this season, just wondered what posters thought of our second Lua Lua after he impressed for Brighton earlier this season. I haven't seen him play for B&H as much as I'd have liked to, but with people lauding the effect stints on loan had on Carroll and encouraging Nile to go on loan next season, do people think he has a future at the club? For those who don't know, he's 20 now - got four goals in eleven at Brighton.
  9. Any post-match interviews from Guardiola/Jose about?
  10. Technically Mourinho is probably higher given the respective height of the two teams
  11. To be honest it looks like you've inferred a lot of that 'only reason' and 'best of all time' stuff from pretty ambiguous/innocuous statements for reasons only which you can answer.
  12. Yeah, but those same players lost 5-0 earlier this season and Real have had a squad of quality individuals for many trophyless years. How is what he has done not remarkable? Plus his record of winning trophies every year since 2003. You may not like his methods, but give him his due respect for what he has achieved. In light of the praise given to this Barcelona side (which has been mostly justifiable), praise for Mourinho in toppling them tonight is not excessive.
  13. Class scenes. It's more than that though. Barcelona gave their all and came up short against the Special One. This year it was more than the Copa del Rey - the record books won't record it as such, but that's a tremendous feather in their cap.
  14. What's your rationalisation for all the others? Bloody hell.
  15. Barcelona diving like there's no tomorrow.
