If you read my posts you will see that I never denied late season improvement, I remember early season when you were slagging off Ameobi and hoping Best would bring you some goals, I did'nt rate our forwards and we scored one less goal than you, Nolan is a midfield player. I can assure you sir no one here has ever slagged off Ameobi or questioned Alan Smith's goalscoring record.

Lot more pessimistic about this fixture than the Chelsea game where I thought we'd get a result. If we cut out defensive errors on the day, hopefully we'll get goals and three points though.

IIRC, Williamson couldn't get a game at Pompey because his fee would have risen had he played - so they couldn't afford to play him ahead of their impending financial struggles.

If I had a velvet glove, I'd slap you with it and challenge you to a duel. I do think we'll do better than 15th though.

If Ameobi is injured for a while, I could see Nolan being "promoted" to striker with his goalscoring record and Guthrie taking his spot in midfield. Not convinced it'll work, but with Ashley's commitment to spending in question I can't see us bringing in another striker so soon after the purchase of Best.

All depends on injuries etc for me. Still say 6-8th though.
