Don't forget we'll have the full year effect of the wages for the January signings......no wonder we've had some quiet windows since. Secondly it was interesting to note the repeated mention of FFP. I thought under FFP you had to move towards balance year on year. Think we'll be the only club achieving a profit at year zero. Chelsea and Man City should achieve a balance circa 2050 given their starting positions.

Aye, apparently he had a similar injury to the ones Cabaye and Remy had when we played Cardiff in the cup.
Heard from a former player that HBA wasn't injured and neither was Santon though the latter was just rested whilst the former will be sold.
-
Got to see the game from a corporate box today. Heard that Santon was officially injured, but wasn't really. The club didn't even try and pretend that HBA was injured and he will be sold. Joke Kinnear took it upon himself to resign - he wasn't pushed. Just passing on what I heard.

My son and I got ours together but we do seat together and have successive membership nos.

Renewal letters have just dropped through the post... They've offered to freeze the 10 year deal for a further 3 year and the 9yr deal they've dropped the price by £24 a season...

Ashley Rattled?
He knows he won't be here in 7 years time.
-
could be called off due to safety concerns especially if the wind really picks up
Windy
it could disrupt our slick passing game like.
You're right we're going to get Shola up top with De Jong and a season high number of long balls from Williamson. Whether this is from the start or when we're losing at HT we'll find out soon.
-
I hope we're about to see a midfield three of Anita, Sissoko and Marveaux but suspect AP will play MYM in midfield instead of the missing Tiote
Edited for foolish typo
-
Press should have asked Pards what that good work consisted off.
-
Williamson Colo MYM
Debuchy Anita Santon
Sissoko
HBA LDJ Remy
Hard on Gouff, don't rate Tiote
-
After the Southampton match AP doesn't want him anywhere near the half way line when we have a corner - JFK probably contributed the final solution
-
Saw his debut in 1977 - a talented but inconsistent player. Sorry to hear he's gone.
-
Lost us the game today before a ball was f***ing kicked.
Totally agree. Not a great problem with the 11 selected but the formation was all wrong - Sissoko had to be in the middle with HBA wide right to match their formation. We then needed to press high and isolate Altidore.
Having said that I'd only keep Krul, Debuchy and Sissoko from the starting eleven if I planned to challenge for 4th place.

Also a fan of over 40 years and a season ticket holder for the last ten. Just put our seats up for sale on virago go for the rest of the season. Pardew has to go, Ashley I'd like to go, kinnear isn't even there to actually go as far as I can tell.
-
I blame Kinnear - for not sacking Pardew. Mind you I blame Ashley for hiring Kinnear. I blame the Gods for sending us Ashley.
-
No wonder AP was unwilling to let him go back on loan to Blackpool - the number 10 position could be his by time we get to the World Cup.

They could have said they're not looking to sign anyone - clutching at straws
-
Of the players likely to start tomorrow only three have scored in the league this season. HBA (3), Sissoko and Debuchy.
-
We did nothing in advance of selling Cabaye as we want to play high stakes on deadline day. Ashley wants a deal on his terms or no deal at all and for that he needs to go to the wire. Lets hope they have some inside track on Lyon needing the money.

Well we need some other player links to bring Lyon back to the table for breakfast tomorrow. Just depends how much Lyon need some cash.
-
He's spouting off to try and get Ashley to fund an increased bid - he knows there's nothing ongoing but that this can still change.

Most owners are using accountancy rules to get money into clubs ahead of FFP with high levels of sponsorship. MA on the other hand is taking money out through the free advertising to limit his club. The £111m is a red herring as effectively this was in the purchase price, he only got the club for £140m as we owed £111m for the stadium build. Obviously he could have forced the club to borrow commercially to cover this but with no substantive assets the interest would be high. There is an element of MA giving with one hand and taking with the other. What I don't understand is why SD don't pay top dollar as he only owns 70 of SD but all of NUFC. Maybe there are governance issues with SD being listed.
