If we can't beat Portsmouth, we're not going to beat Fulham. We get nowt from this, it's not far off the end. Say Hull fail to get anymore points, which as they're in free fall is possible. 4 points would get us level with better goal difference and save us. It's not likely, but I'm saying there is hope. A noble effort to avert the historic melt down that will follow this result should it stay the same (or get worse). Don't win and we don't play in this league next year. Simple as.

Really nice kit. I just can't stop picturing it with the fizzy pop numbers on the back.

It really isn't a priority right now. I miss the seasons where mid table obscurity was secured and we could spend late April and early May worrying about the new strip.

I usually don't like to think about what went wrong or what might have been, but this one keeps me awake at nights. What if he'd said yes? Where would we be now?

The single costliest decision in terms of this club. There are many decisions after this point that made things worse, but Souness is where the downfall began. It hasn't been said in a few years, but FUCK SOUNESS. What a useless fucker he was.

Agreed. Between Dowie, Shearer, Houghton, Calderwood and possibly Kinnear watching on the tele, one of them must have noticed this time. If Butt were foreign, he would have been shipped out years ago.

It's a poor result (if the roles had been reversed for example) but it doesn't feel like a poor result in the context of the match. If lessons have been learned and confidences have been slightly raised, then it could end up being an immense goal from Mr. Carroll. We will see.

Keep that West Brom/Pompey game a draw please.
