  1. Who cares? I'm much happier to be watching mildly enthusiastic Man Utd supporters celebrating.
  2. The faces of the supporters at Old Trafford don't really seem that impressed. Must be getting boring for them.
  3. I hope Shearer has them showing the same level of intensity they demonstrated against Boro. Beat Fulham, Hull loss and let's close the book on this season without any final day drama. BTW, Fulham have won two away from home. Same as us, so they can't be that good.
  4. Which marks the one and only time in the history of football in which that particular fixture will stimulate any interest at all.
  5. It would be very very nice to have results go our way this Saturday and turn out the lights on this season. Might be pushing our luck though.
  6. Down from a 9.9 to a 7. Anything less would seem to discount the ability of this team to fuck it all up in an amazing and unexpected way.
  7. Return of the fat white duke. Thanks big man.
  8. Little late to the party, but can I just say GET THE FUCCCCCK IN YES YES YES YES YES YES YES.
  9. considering how well that's worked in the past, he wants shooting if true Hasn't really been given a chance to fail given their appalling injury records. God I hope we win tomorrow (today).
  10. I don't think Nicky Butt will let us down, it's the strikers and attacking midfielders I'll be watching closely. Nicky Butt is well, well overdue a good performance that fools people into thinking he is still capable of playing at this level.
  11. You get so optimistic and then you remember on Monday just how bad our players are.
  12. I'll take those results. Forget about the mackems. So long as Hull lose, we still have a chance to keep ourselves safe without depending on other results.
  13. The feeling in the pit of my stomach when I think about this game is terrible. Like looking off the edge of a very tall cliff and knowing there is someone behind you who will probably push you off.
  14. The activation of relegation release clauses on some of the jokers at the club and getting rid of some of the players we would otherwise struggle to get rid of. Seeing some of these promising young players in the first team (assuming we can retain them). That is about it. The Championship is a less lucrative version of the Premiership, not a magic time portal back to a romanticized version of the 1970s. I hope relegation is a nice, temporary nostalgic trip to quaint, lower league sides, we earn 100+ points and bounce back in 12 months. But the financial structure of the club is based on that Sky money, those plastic grounds, expensive tickets and dirty foreigners. And this is the worst possible environment for a business to lose half its revenue. There really isn't a realistic bright side. I would also imagine that the novelty of playing the likes of Doncaster wears off fairly quickly and that the football is just as if not more atrocious than playing Hull or Stoke.
  15. Staying in this league is actually a lot easier for us than it should be. Beat Boro, get a draw in one of the other two and that should do it. 4 f***ing points, we shouldn't be able to survive with that but we would. Realistically, that is all it would take. Hell, 3 points might even do it. That might be a record low of some sort. And the truly astonishing thing is that we are so comprehensively s*** as a team that we won't even manage that. This team is so f***ing awful. Much, much better teams than us have fought much harder, earned far more points and gone down anyway. And these players are letting it happen without so much as a whimper. It really is disgusting how gutless they are.
  16. SBR, what a dirty foreigner, slating Kevin Keegan like that.
  17. This basically. Maybe Liverpool will have an off day, we can secure a point at Anfield, beat Boro, draw Fulham and stay up! Then I remember that the same shower of shit will be wearing the shirt. The fact that it is not yet a mathematical certainty doesn't help us when the players aren't good enough to take advantage. It takes urgency, commitment and a little bit of ability. I can see us beating Villa on the final day only for Hull to win as well, sending us down, and Phil Brown celebrating like mad.
  18. "the Butt haters." Jesus. We basically ensure relegation, and someone is on here defending Nicky fucking Butt. Jesus.
